  Re: ldraw based import parts

(...) OK, apparently Thomas has left the building.. I made a bunch of his parts, and now I'm attempting to make some of Gregory Overkamp's MOCs. I'm having problems identifying some of the parts. For example, in:(URL), there appears to be a canopy (...) (20 years ago, 2-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Quick question

(...) I'll try to answer. I'm not a POV-Ray wizard, but I tried to do what you are saying once, and it just didn't work. I had to put the cameras in the main pov file. James (20 years ago, 2-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: STL File for 3D Printing

(...) Hi Tim, Since I just spent a week doing this, let me throw in a few caveats: If you're talking about going from DAT to reality using an RP machine, you're going to have to tweak some of the dimensions. As you know, DAT dimensions are not the (...) (20 years ago, 2-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.events, FTX)

  Re: help!!!!

(...) Microsoft's Knowledge base is usually a good place to start when you get really wierd errors like this. I did a search for your error text and saw this: (URL) might not be the problem you are having, but it sounds similar. --Travis (20 years ago, 1-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: STL File for 3D Printing

(...) Cool. (...) Hmm.. tricky. I know the machines we have in our model shop at work could handle those, not sure about the StratsSys machine though. (...) I can get you stl files, no problem.   STL File for 3D Printing

I'd like to have a few LEGO bricks 3D printed at SIGGRAPH this year. I have a contact who is willing to print up the bricks for me using a StrataSys machine [1]. Can someone please create and send me an ASCII STL file of a 2x4 brick? Also, any other (...) (20 years ago, 1-Aug-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.events, FTX)

  Re: Quick question

Okay, I'm not quite sure what you mean, so I'll just tell you what to do to fix the problem. In the 'Command Line' type: "+KFI1 +KFF4 +KI1 +KF4". Somewhere in the .pov file type: "#if (clock == 1) camera{...} #end #if (clock == 2) camera{...} #end (...) (20 years ago, 31-Jul-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Quick question

(...) I think more detail is needed. For now, all I can ask is: Are you setting the Initial_Frame, Final_Frame,Initial_Clock, Final_Clock parameters? If so, what are they? If your frames do not correspond with clock integers, it will never work (...) (20 years ago, 31-Jul-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Request change to ptreleases.cgi

(...) There's no significance, AFAIK. The Perl module, XML::Simple, wraps the <opt> tag around everything automatically. I scanned the docs, but didn't see how to control it. Steve (20 years ago, 31-Jul-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Quick question

  Re: Quick question

You could do this without any .inc files at all. Within the .pov file, you can do something like this: #if(clock == 1) camera{...} #end #if(clock == 2) camera{...} #end If you need to try out your camera angles, you can comment out the other ones (...) (20 years ago, 31-Jul-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Request change to ptreleases.cgi

(...) I'm not really up on XML, but it looks fine to me. I do have a question, though. Is there some significance that I am missing to naming the root element "opt"? --Travis Cobbs (20 years ago, 31-Jul-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)
