Mac Brick CAD 2.3b1 New Release

Well folks, I've been busy again and MBC2.3b1 is the result. This represents a fairly significant upgrade with new major features including: * Multiple Part Data (.mpd) files can be directly edited. * Exporting to instructions sequences is possible (...)   Re: 73037.dat

(...) Hi Leonardo, 103a, 103b and 103c are all in the original LDraw library, and haven't been changed since 1997. You'll have to grab a copy of ldraw027.exe/.zip to get them. Steve (20 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Link to reference, please!

(...) Done. Any other primitives references that should be linked in? Hmm. Paul Easter's primitive generator, at least. What else? Steve (20 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

color, contrast and brightness problems - any idea?

Hi all, I have a problem and no idea hox to fix it. I'm working on a notebook with active tft-display. Rendered pictures seem to be brilliant with enough brightness and contrast. Whenever I see one of these pictures on a PC with CRT I'm shocked. (...) (20 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: a nice "tutorial" on radiosity

Woo Hoo! Thanks Jeroen! Some time ago I wanted to do get the same effect, but my mind isn't suited to all the tests necessary to figure out how to do that. I'll definitely save those settings! Thanks again! --Ryan (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: NEW ANIMATION

(...) Hi It depends what you are referring to. If you are completely new to computer animation, IMHO your best shot is to download Wax and have a bit of fun with it. (URL) can even import Ldraw stuff via the .3DS format (probably LDR -> DXF -> 3DS) (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: April Model and Scene of the Month Contest Winners

(...) The latest version of LDView lets you specify latitude and longitude coordinates for the camera on the command line (very similar to the L3P camera globe command line argument). So, for example, the default camera view would be like so: (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Part request: Cone 4 x 4 x 3  [DAT]

(...) I've got one of those from that set. Here's a hideous unofficial mock-up of the part. The inside has one big tube like the 4742 and a few ridges, but I didn't model them because I'm a lousy part maker. 0 Cone 4 x 4 x 3 0 Name: x483.dat 0 (...)   Re: April Model and Scene of the Month Contest Winners

(...) As long as I can specify global camera coordinates (or something equivilent), I'd consider using LDView. -Orion (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: April Model and Scene of the Month Contest Winners

Re: April Model and Scene of the Month Contest Winners

Re: April Model and Scene of the Month Contest Winners

(...) Being a broadband user, I tend to prefer bigger, but I can also understand that this would lead to an uncomfortably long page load time for people who don't have broadband. To be perfectly honest, all the models this month are big enough in (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: April Model and Scene of the Month Contest Winners

(...) Hmm, I forgot to make the links and tables borderless. I'll make a mental note of that for next month's contest (...) I thought about this. I foresaw a potential problem with only one picture displayed: people who vote for a model who don't (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: April Model and Scene of the Month Contest Winners

(...) IMO there's not much to criticize. But as you're asking ... Maybe ... ... the models should not go all the way to the edges of the thumbnails, now that there are black borders? ... the black border should be blue, just like all other links? (...)
