  linux ldraw users

(...) I'm not sure I agree with your assumptions about Linux users. From my experience, they seem to be more self sufficient and generally tend to ask fewer questions. I've been too busy to play with LDView lately, but if I did, I'd just compile it (...) (21 years ago, 19-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  LCX released

I'm finally releasing LCX (Ken Dyke's little Cocoa editor). It is missing alot of features. I'm mainly releasing this so others can check it out. Nobody is working on the code. Well, I did add a text field for changing the ldraw folder location (and (...) (21 years ago, 19-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Help a guy out...

I've been goofing around with MLCAD for a few days. I went to go install some of the rendering stuff and must be missing something. I found a link on Lugnet for steps to follow but, I can't figure this out. Its a pain in the neck. Hasn't anyone (...) (21 years ago, 19-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: POV Problem

  Re: My Waah

Amateurs! ;-) I use those short cuts all the time. I hardly use the mouse :-) Just like good old LEdit. Jaco (21 years ago, 18-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: TrackDraw number formats

In lugnet.cad.dev, Guido Heunen wrote: ... (...) TrackDraw is a little different from most programs in that its file formats can be authored in different languages. Every file has a language attribute, and a schema that acts as a dictionary to (...) (21 years ago, 18-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LDraw-to-Raves (was: POV in Part)

(...) Well, first, lego parts get really dusty when they're left out. They're like little ABS dust magnets. But it looks like the part in LDraw is the right size. At least, it mates up with part 2409(.dat) nice and clean. Maybe they're both wrong? (...) (21 years ago, 18-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: TrackDraw number formats

Hi Cary, The decimal comma is used in a lot of european countries. I would say that the option (...) in the GUI would be the best, since this would allow the user to select their preferred settings. However, since the trackdraw files will possibly (...) (21 years ago, 18-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: What's the demand???????

(...) I begun the points but then I get over to the Dragon. So only the inner parts of the points are done. See my brickshelf-gallery (the last pic): (URL) Bernd (21 years ago, 18-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Defining the "term" BI

(...) I know. I was just teasing you about the book thing, because we *are* both in the same boat. Notice I immediatly followed with the list. Kevin (...) (21 years ago, 18-Sep-03, to lugnet.inst, lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: POV Problem

(...) Please go here: (URL) the part about the undocumented error in POV-Ray. This should fix your problem. -Orion (21 years ago, 18-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: POV Problem

(...) Actually I've been getting the same error whenever I use the LGEO library. It seems to be something in the colors.inc file, but im not totally sure. (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

  POV Problem

Hi, I've just reinstalled my Lego CAD utilities onto a new machine. I've installed Povray 3.5, but when I try to render one of my files that worked fine previously, I get the error message "Parse Error: Macros require #version 3.1 or later but (...) (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Defining the "term" BI

'snip' (...) I'm in the same boat as you on this issue of "book topics". I'm still wrtiting tutorials on subjects that I already helped cover in a book with Tim but that does the general public no good, unless they buy the book. However as the LDraw (...)   Re: Announcing LDraw.org Relaunch

(...) Eventually, yes, the PT will authenticate against the ldraw.org login. At that time, you'll (probably) have to login to ldraw.org before accessing the PT's functions. Steve (21 years ago, 16-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Once again, a relativley major bug...

(...) I can certainly appreciate why you suggested Direct3D, and I personally didn't interpret it to mean that you would be disappointed by an OpenGL renderer. I believe that the performance differences between OpenGL and Direct3D are fairly heavily (...) (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  TrackDraw number formats

With help from Thomas Woelk, I uncovered a design problem in the TrackDraw file format. It currently assumes that numbers are localized; that is, it expects an angle to be expressed as angle="22.5" if the part description is in American English, but (...)   Re: What's the demand???????

(...) Thanks for the response, Mr. Courtney! Iknew someone would understand my point! I don't have a lot of resources, but if there's anything I can do to help, let me know. Thanx, tim romine (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: What's the demand???????

(...) Actually, I didn't have a particular part in mind. I mean I want to know what the LDRAW users like me need the most in their Part Library. Currently there exists no way for me to find out. Any suggestions? tim romine (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Once again, a relativley major bug...

(...) I'll be the first to admit : never even looked at LDView. Up until now I have done everything in MLCAD, and if I needed a nice image I'd use L3P and do a POVRAY. I'll look into LDView, who knows what I've missed :D (...) I don't even mind if (...) (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
