But I have picked it up again, currently I am fixing reported bugs and making the whole application ready to go 1.0 But also the long pause (...) (...) I think it is incomplete. If I understand your suggustion correctly, that would only work in one curve direction, left or (exclusive or) right. In some models you would use a part that is made up from different parts. Take the minifig body for instance. It is always complete with arms and hands, but you construct it using 5 parts. This shows up in the BOM. Hand 2x, arm left 1x, arm right (...) (22 years ago, 18-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad)
