New part 3648a - Technic Gear 24 Tooth with 3 Axleholes  [DAT]

OK, after much work, refinement, and most especially help from Mark Kennedy, Chris Dee, Steve Bliss, and Orion Pobursky, I have finally finished my first part along with several supporting primitives (thus the cross-post to LCDPP). I would (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: Need for rect primitive with two or one edge?

Actually, in hindsight, I think maybe it was my brain that was missing. I thought it was missing rect2p.dat, but I just looked at my zip and there is was. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to run it as a daily job anyway, if it doesn't take too (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Making parts 2999 and 2998 work together

(...) I would move 2999... and do it in this release, partly because it's the sensible and consistent thing to do and partly because it will have less impact if moved now than at any point in future. ++Lar (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Making parts 2999 and 2998 work together

(...) I say reposition 2999. I think that the few, if any, models that use this part could be updated with relative ease and the frustration saved by going this route would offset any inconveinence. -Orion (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Making parts 2999 and 2998 work together

I posted a 'hold' review on the wheel from the 8080 Super Car (part 2998). You can read it at: (URL). The part file itself is good. Unfortunately, 2998 only fits with part 2999 (see 2999 at (URL). 2999 was released back in 1998. Right now, the two (...) (22 years ago, 2-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: point of view

(...) Actually, lugnet.cad.dat no longer exists as an actual, active group for posting. Now, it's just a placeholder for old posts and a gathering point for the .dat.subgroups. (...) That's pretty neat! I love seeing alternate uses for LDraw. :) (...) (22 years ago, 2-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)

Datsville rev 016 - Submissions welcome!

Available at (URL) the rev014.zip as a backup in case I've made a mistake somewhere!) Just fixed some minor errors. Welcome to submit models! I want more vehicles, but all models are welcome.   point of view  [DAT]

if cad.dat was somewhat more alive i'd post it there . . . but i hate to disturb the dead. and geek won't accept dat data, so some time ago i bought the book: "how the universe works" (dk, london 1994) it had a table with values to build a model of (...)   Attention, Mark Kennedy!

Hey Mark! The email address we've got for you on the Parts Tracker, kennedy@proaxis.com, seems to not be working. Messages sent to that address have bounced with 550 errors. Do you have a different address, or is this a temporary problem? Steve (22 years ago, 2-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Utility for Conditional Lines

(...) Yes, you need to download the Java compiler and libraries. The easiest way to do this is to download and install the Java SDK from Sun. -Orion (22 years ago, 1-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Need for rect primitive with two or one edge?

(...) What was it missing? We did have a problem running out of disk space recently, that could have caused the trouble. (...) I've rebuilt the zip file. I should probably set that up to run as a daily job. Steve (22 years ago, 1-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, lugnet.cad.dev)
