(...) That would be cool to test, but i only have a 233Mhz Amd k6 :( (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: [Parts Tracker] More BFC Primitives

(...) There was some discussion whether one winding was better or not. Not limited to primitives, just in general. I think I arbitrarily put in the clause about all primitives being CCW, mostly to promote consistency, but also partly to see if it (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Beta testers needed

(...) This is a 'god-sent' program... It's going to greatly advance the number of animators we have... Keep up the good work. Have you talked to Tim C. from ldraw.org to make a new page for you under the 3rd party ldraw applications. THIS ONE IS A (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: [Parts Tracker] More BFC Primitives

(...) Um... Not to stir the pot or anything but I was reading the BFC proposal on your website and noticed that the BFC specification says that all primitves must be certified CCW. Did this get revised via discussion and not updated? -Orion (23 years ago, 4-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Beta testers needed

Hi all, I am working on a ldraw tool for creating animations (Windows). It's called ld4dmodeler (LDraw 4Dimensional Modeler). I am working on it for over a month now and it's nearly useable but I would like to test it on different systems before (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad)

  [Parts Tracker] More BFC Primitives

I've submitted BFC'ed versions of all the official stu*.dat files. Surprisingly, a fair number of files are still in certified status. I expected nearly everything to drop back to "uncertified subfiles". Apparently, we don't depend on studs as much (...) (23 years ago, 4-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: [LCAD admin] plz re-name files...

(...) Done. But because of length limitations, I had to remove the word "Danger" from both titles. The keywords look fine to me. Steve (23 years ago, 4-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Part naming question for different versions of the same part

(...) I'd go for either option #1 or #3. In option #2, it seems like the name for 4066b.dat is misleading, because the difference between the parts is (relatively) minor. And I'd actually lean toward #3, because the difference is in the (...) (23 years ago, 4-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: New Part: x192.dat - Minifig Shield Round

(...) Hmm. That would look a little weird, to have LEGO floating slightly above the surface. It wouldn't *really* be noticeable, but still... I'd be inclined to ignore the slight indentation, and model the part as if the inside was the same height (...) (23 years ago, 4-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Part: x192.dat - Minifig Shield Round

(...) Sure, that's possible. But by the time you get to a theoretical upper bound, you're way past the practical upper bound. So I'm not sure what the practical benefit would be. Steve (23 years ago, 4-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: GPF on manual zoom in MLCad 2.11

(...) Well that was what I was getting at, my read of the problem he fixed neither confirmed or denied that the core fixed in 2.12 was my particular coredump. But two people now have asserted it is, and I imagine ML is pretty busy so that's good (...) (23 years ago, 4-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: GPF on manual zoom in MLCad 2.11

(...) The crash is caused by an overwriting of a section in the graphic memory or something like this. Ask Michael if you need a proper explanation 'cos I'm just a humble user and not an author. He has fixed the problem in 2.11 alpha 3 and therefor (...) (23 years ago, 4-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
