Re: New Part: 30248 Helicopter skids (WAS) Re: Looking for parts

(...) The part definitely hasn't been made official yet. A quick check on the parts tracker doesn't turn up a file either. If you want to finish this and submit it, that would be Very Cool. :) Steve (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Part: 30248 Helicopter skids (WAS) Re: Looking for parts

(...) Some bases are correctly lined up, some aren't. I agree with Steve here, it sohould be rotated. Has this part been officialed yet? I still don't have it in my Parts directory, and was just about to model it when I made a search and found it (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: [Parts Tracker] Reviewing Parts FAQ

Based on this FAQ, I get the notion that BFC is required not optional. Maybe a rewording is in order. Something like: What should I look for when I review a part? . . . . Check the Part for correct BFC (if the part is intended to be BFC complient) (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Temporary Parts Tracker is Closed

My temporary parts tracker is now closed. The reason why I couldn't close it or fulfill remove requests until now is problems with ftp access. I wish to thank you all for the contributions and visits. /Tore (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: FAQ for Part Reviewers

(...) I wonder. . .would it be helpful, or simply more confusing, to introduce more "levels" of reviewers? Currently a part requires two votes from regular users plus one from an admin user (which is currently just Steve Bliss, yes?). I think things (...)   how to add graphic to part

Is there a faq somewhere that outlines a way (easy, I hope) to stick a graphic image onto a part? Like for a custom mini-fig? I thought I had seen one once, but now I can't find it... Thanks, James Wilson Dallas, TX (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Numbers...

(...) I certainly *hope* not! ;-) I was just saying, hey, we got this here situation... Any ideas on how to expedite the resolution? Thanks, Franklin (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Converter of .pov to .jpg, .bmp, or .gif

You know sometimes the easiest answers are not always the most obvious. If I had played around with POV alittle longer I would have discovered the samething. Thanks much!! Nate (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Converter of .pov to .jpg, .bmp, or .gif

(...) Easy answer is Povray. Why? The .pov files are just a scene definition, you actually have to render them with povray (or other raytracer) to be able to see the images. When you render the scene, you can then save it as a bitmap graphic. Martin (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Part numbers

(...) Thanks for reposting this, Chris. I've stuck in some comments below. (...) OK, I *totally* don't remember that. Bizarre (both my memory and the parts with two numbers). 30337.dat was just released in update 2002-01. (...) (don't remember (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Requesting another plug-in for LDDesignPad

(...) Hmmm, what technique did you use to do the scaling? 0 SCALE meta-commands, or scale and then inline. I used the inliner approach. Here's how it goes in ldglite using the familiar LEDIT style commands (with the scale and inliner extensions). (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Converter of .pov to .jpg, .bmp, or .gif

Hello. Question to pose. I have looked through out this groups messages as well as the ldraw website and POV website, but haven't found the answer to my question. So here goes. Is there a converter tool out there to take a .pov file and make it into (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Requesting another plug-in for LDDesignPad

Don, I tried what you suggested and it worked in L3Lab and LDView, but MLCad doesn't seem to recognize the scaling of the primitives in the part file. --Ryan (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: FAQ for Part Reviewers (was: Re: BFC and Primitives)

(...) [snip] This is great info/advice! Can this be included in a "reviewer FAQ"? (Is there one already?) (...) Yes, yes!   Re: Numbers...

Good statistics, just one note... (...) You should really comb through the lists, and count how many files we've released multiple times in the last 4 updates. We wouldn't want to count duplicates in the averages... Steve (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
