Here is an MPD with LDLite code for a soccer ball. The LDLite language extensions allowed me to generate and use the exact values for the vertices more easily than raw LDraw code. Because of the language, I *think* only LDLite (and probably LDGLite) (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) I like the flattened sides simply because they are a visible feature of the bricks. But then I would also have tackled the little depression on the top center, too. I would find this useful in that I would be able to obtain a visual appearance for more obscurly named parts. In additon it would help to idenfity gaps in the LCAD part library. I agree with Lars Hassing about keeping it LDraw compatible, I was just thinking it would look better if the lines were displayed as black (unless a piece is black, then use dark grey) at all times.
