To boldly MLCAD where no one has MLCADed before

I thought my computer was powerful until this. 131369 Frame level objects I put my computer down to its knees Prepare to drool (URL) (24 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: bend thingie creator.

(...) I've thought about using bezier curves but I decided to choose another type of curve because it doesn't allow you to make the curve pass by a specific point (except the first and last points).   Re: Export Problems

(...) I don't use the export function so I can't comment. But if you want to raytrace, get POVray, install it, then get L3Lab (or L3P) and install it. What I do to trace is save my MPD with the design I want traced. Then I launch L3Lab, navigate to (...) (24 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Renderers that poll for changes?

(...) With 420 Mb hard disk and 16 Mb RAM, it's no upgrade at all. (RAM not even upgradeable). I prefer a fast 486 with Win 3.1 before a slow one with Win95. I have no hope of finding a polling viewer that works in Win 3.1. I want to know what (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Export Problems

I'm fairly new to MLCad, and after I recently got ready to delve into the depths of raytracing my designs, I found that the export command was a little odd... I can't click the post processor configurations tab; it doesn't act as if it's a tab at (...) (24 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  A new idea

Did anyone think on making desktop themes about this Lego cad thing? (24 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Can the MLCAD rendering engine be put in a DLL?

Michael, is there a possibility you could put the rendering engine from MLCAD into a DLL? That would make it very easy to create other add-ons for the community. One example is my LDList, which can be used to search for a part - my Delphi port of (...) (24 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.cad)

Re: Renderers that poll for changes?

(...) Good luck finding a polling viewer that works in Win 3.1! In occasional moments of insanity I've considered building a version of ldglite for DOS with the djgpp compiler and Scitech MGL, but then I come to my senses and remember that LDRAW and (...) (24 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: bend thingie creator.

(...) I'm using a simplified form of bezier curves, like you see in most drawing software like coreldraw etc.. this is also x = f(t), y = g(t) and z = h(t) with f, g and h being a*t^3 + b*t^2 +c*t + d . a, b , c and d can than simply be calculated (...)
