  Re: Retry: [New Part] 2145.dat Arch 2 x 6 x 5 Ornamented

(...) Yeah, I had to set a variable, b=0.01 for all these y values in n-nring commands. (Who should be 2-D and L3Lab has nothing to complain about). " excerp from 2145.lds: " b=0.01 " ...   Re: Help generating images of ALL parts in ALL colors

(...) I think Troy wants the same thing I want - the image clipped to the size of the actual part-image. I know you've said that LDLite does this, but I've now tried it about a billion times (ok, maybe just 15) and it doesn't - not for me. The only (...) (24 years ago, 13-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Parts authoring help wanted

(...) Let's see ... Y- X- | Z+ \ | / \|/ + /|\ / | \ Z- | X+ Y+ (sorry this isn't to scale) (...) Probably not a bad idea. (...) I did publish an EXCEL file with several utility functions, called rotate.xls. But I'm not sure if that was the file you (...) (24 years ago, 13-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Status on 2000-02

(...) I've got to tie up a couple of loose ends, and post the voting pages. I just got back from vacation, and my life has been unusually hectic for the last month or so. So the update has been taking longer than expected. Steve (24 years ago, 13-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Two parts questions?

(...) UCS (...) I don't *think* these pieces have been released yet (check Partsref to be sure). Have you searched lugnet.cad.dat.parts? Steve (24 years ago, 13-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: (Ldraw) Help: how do I delete unwanted bitmaps?

(...) but (...) make (...) A couple of general recommendations (in no particular order): 1. Reboot. 2. Make sure the files are not write-protected. Ditto for the folder. 3. Run your favorite hard drive scanner; ScanDisk is supplied with Win95/98. (...) (24 years ago, 13-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: file name protocol

(...) For models, I wouldn't worry much about the names, as long as they are 8.3 format. Well, that's not exactly true -- I'd use the same prefix on all the names, so that the files stay close together when people are looking at their (huge) (...)   Re: Help generating images of ALL parts in ALL colors

(...) Do you actually want the parts scaled to fit in the viewable area, or would you be happy if the image was clipped to the actual part-image? AFAIK, only MLCAD has a feature to set the scaling to fit the current viewing area. Steve (24 years ago, 13-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: [New Part] 30382.dat Wedge 2 x 12 Triple (AKA Droid Fighter Wing)

(...) Woo-hoo! :) (...) That'd be good. There's been some discussion about texture-mapping, which sh/would handle both micro-textures for sloped surfaces, and large-scale decorative printing. Steve (24 years ago, 13-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
