Re: GE's AC4400cw redone, with some good pics

(...) You asked. As a picture, it is very pretty. As a model, it has some major flaws: - it uses pieces that don't exist (the nose piece, the doors perhaps) - it uses decorations on pieces that don't exist (the BNSF lettering) - it uses pieces in (...)   Re: LDraw to display at Legoland California for Kidvention

(...) Agreed. There is more to LEGO than space. Indeed, I would argue that the most creative models are those that represent things already built in real life such as buildings and current day vehicles, rather than things from the imagination. But (...) (24 years ago, 28-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: LDraw to display at Legoland California for Kidvention

(...) I'm now "officially" an AFOL. I had my 18th birthday recently. I might be able to make it to the convention, I already have lodging, I just need the time and the funds. As it is, I can only go for three days. If that is the case, then I would (...) (24 years ago, 28-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.legoland.california)

  Looking for parts

Hi all, I am looking for DAT file for 2 Lego pieces: 1) The canopy/housing that came from the Aquazone sets, if you look at the Solo Sub #6110 you will see what I mean as it basically makes up the entire vehicle. I realize the see-thru part is (...) (24 years ago, 27-May-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDraw to display at Legoland California for Kidvention

  Re: tire colors

I'm too lazy to test right now, I think this method should call for the least hand-work: 1) In the LDraw model, assign the rubber parts an else unused colour, say pink. After you run it through L3P, change the colour definition of the tyre colour (...) (24 years ago, 27-May-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  "stud" rendering in LEdit?

The primitives "stud.dat" and "stud2.dat" render, of course, as tiny lines instead of actual stud representations in LEdit—how is this accomplished? Is it something in the code of LEdit, or is it intrinsic to the primitives themselves? Dave! (24 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
