  POV ray and Lego Animations

Hello. I use L2P, L3P and POV-ray to generate high quality images from my dat files. Thank's to Lutz Uhlmann and Lars C. Hassing for their tools, they're very useful. I've got several questions : - with L2P, how can i do if some of the ldraw parts i (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: New wallpaper scene and customizable POV file

(...) Thanks, I guess :) (...) I've never done any animations, but it wouldn't be that difficult to make the cars move about, especially considering the way I created the main POV file...the difficult part would be to make the wheels turn. However, (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: L3Lab - yet another LDraw viewer

(...) I'm beginning to suspect that Lars is stunned speechless by the reception his program just got! :-, (...) This happens only (that I've seen) if you use the "Ldraw View" view, which is slightly skewed in and of itself. If you use any of the (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad)

Bram: You are out-competing yourself in the fight for my desktop! I suppose that the next step is to make an animation of a trip down the highway. ;-) Play well, Jacob ---...--- -- E-mail: sparre@cats.nbi.dk -- -- Web...: <URL: (URL) > -- ---...--- (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: New wallpaper scene and customizable POV file

(...) This new one, like all the rest, is absolutely stunning. I wish I had a 10th of your talent. One small (only slightly joking) request. Could you make one of the 5-winged ship swooping down and attacking the cars and trucks? :) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

New wallpaper scene and customizable POV file

I've finished a new scene. The models used have all been published before, but the focus is on the landscape. I've written the POV file so as to make the landscape very easy to customize. Feel free to use it, but please give credit. (URL) because of (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.publish, lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.general)

(...) Wow! Thanks. Reminds me, I have another scene done. This time I'll release my highway scene generating POV file. Stay tuned! --Bram Bram Lambrecht / o o \ BramL@juno.com ---...---oooo-----(_...o---...--- WWW: (URL) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: What CAD program is being auctioned here ?

(...) I think you're right. (...) Maybe. I think it would be helpful to educate the seller, if possible, as his post is misleading. Who can say whether that will happen, though. (...) Like it's cheap talking to one IN your country. :-) Again, (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New LDraw version ?

(...) Now those are true words! We have almost as many renderers as users! :-) No harm meant, though. Personally, I prefer LEdit to compose (sub) models, L3Lab to do explorative viewing and LDLITE to do final rendering of models. If there is ever a (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: New LDraw version ?

Rene Virsik: (...) I assume that you want to know if there will be released a new version of LDraw sometime. The answer to that question is (technically speaking) almost definitely "no". I think we should avoid using the name "LDraw II" until we can (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: L3Lab - yet another LDraw viewer

I'm stunned speechless! Wow. You may consider restricting the views to be -- uhm, what's the correct term again? -- isometric? When starting out with an oblique view and rotating with the mouse, you may end up with a view that is "skewed". I think (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad)
