  Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

(...) Ok, well I guess it was better phrased 'traditional bank,' and I was referring to a building with a foundation, four walls, and people who work inside. One that has a canopy you can drive under and press buttons. :) I guess internet- based (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

Note, I'm in the press the CD camp... at least for now, but I reserve the right to change sides. :-) (...) I think the idea is that the CD-r is something that could be updated with new stuff but still using the same jacket, just a small sticker (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

(...) I'm referring to www.x.com but I'm not sure what you mean by "normal" bank. :-) I got checks printed by them with my name on them, I can go to a local ATM and use the debit card to get money out of the account, just like any other checking (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

(...) Actually, not all the stuff is there. And it would be best to include some resources which are not on ldraw.org, such as the LDraw and LEdit tutorial, personal creations, animations, etc. The HTML Guide to the CD-ROM that I have in my head (...)   Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

(...) Good idea! Animations done with LDraw and POV-Ray SHOULD be included if we can collect them all. (...) at least we who have a writer could update the CD. I really don't see how this is much different than a link on the CD pointing to official (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

(...) And that 50Mb animation I searched for in vain! (...) That's why I'd prefer a CD-r and not a CD-ROM. Then if the CD-r is left open, at least we who have a writer could update the CD. It's getting more and more common at my work that we obtain (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

Why don't you simply publish ldraw.org website on the cd? All the stuff is there, right? Build On! John Matthews Tim Courtney <tim@zacktron.com> wrote in message news:FpG5Gw.DxE@lugnet.com...   Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

Well, since we've discussed some of the logistics behind producing the CD, its time to get the organization down. First off, I'll send out emails to everyone who has contributed a utility that works with the LDraw system, and get permission to (...)   Re: LDraw CD-ROM Project

(...) Are you referring to www.x.com, or is X a type of account at a normal bank? (...) I do think that they should get as many CDs as they like for cost, because of the family connection to James and also because they gave us permission to produce (...)
