So, wait--you're building ribs and plating between them? I feel
for you--that seems like it would be really difficult in brick.
I had to build square and then plate the outside contours. My
heart goes out to you!
However, if it's any consolation for both approaches, a lot of
ship modelers do half-hulls that way--they build ribs and then
contour over them. But they're working in wood, which makes that
approach a little bit easier.

That's OK, it sounds like most of Axis R&D during the war...and,
uh, 6x6 = pictures please?

I must be crazy--I popped $150 for an absolute ton of dark grey
and tan large plates from Australia (130+ dkgrey 6x12 and 60 or
70 6x8 or larger tan plates), in preparation for the next project.
Add that to the 50 or 60 4x8 dkgrey and mess o' Landspeeders I
have, and maybe I can build something new without taking my
monster apart.
But unfortunately, the time issue is definitely not being kind
to me. Not in the slightest.
