Hi George

Glad you like the model. The scale 1:125 is of course a bit unusual in the
modelling world. But I chose to model in this 1 stud to 1 meter scale of
several practical reasons.

- it is easy to measure and transfer to the Lego stud related world. Here
the Lego unit meet the basic SI units for length (at least at the European
side of the Atlantic :).

- the model becomes  big enough to allow modelling guns, torpedo tubes,
stacks etc in some detail but still not to big to consume more grey parts
than I have.

- I want to continue to build other larger warships using the same basic
armament and other standard details like directors and life rafts. A cruiser
is next, Cleveland or Atlanta, and they shouldn't be to big.

I guess 1:96 is a more accepted scale for ships but then I would need a
calculator for every for every step.

Mattias
