Hey, that reminds me ...

Actually, I've been working on frame-by-frame construction for my S-boat.  I've
completed the 20 main ribs, and am in the process of flushing out the contours
between them.  It's actually pretty satisfying, given that you feel as if
you're modeling the hull as accurately as the pixellation of LEGO allows.  It
*is* time consuming though; I blew up the drawings to the maximum size possible
on an 11x17" sheet of paper, and then I do conversions on every measurement.
I'm convinced that this provides that maximum amount of room inside the walls,
while still providing the greatest amount of accuracy to the outside.  I'll
have to post some more pictures of the development soon - admittedly I didn't
get too do much on it this weekend, as I spent my time finishing up my GMC 6x6
truck :P  Which leaves a mere 6 or 8 WWII models in progress *sigh*

Where do I sign up for unlimited brick and time supplies?

I had to build square and then plate the outside contours. My heart goes out to you! However, if it's (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)
