Gary, I must say, i like this new incarnation better than the last one. The previous canopy just didn't work for me. If i may offer a few suggestions though, i would say the only areas that need a bit of work are the engines and wingtips. - i think (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Thanks to some new parts off BrickBay and a little creative part-shuffling, I've redone my Heinkel He-219, complete with bubble canopy, tricycle landing-gear, and enough dark-grey plates to finally cover the wings. (...) By "one in front of the other" do you mean "back to back"? If you put 'em back to back, you can probably angle them as well--tilt them downward about 30 degrees and the curvature would be absolutely perfect. Can't wait to see the pictures! For my next model, I chose the Fokker Dr. 1, which was Baron Manfred von Richthofen's favored plane. Note the iron cross - the 'Balkenkeuz' on the side of the fusalage. Each squadron had its own color scheme, and I selected Jasta 11's - "The Flying (...) (23 years ago, 15-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Shaun, That's looking great! The hull's "smoothness" is very cool, The POV'd thumbnail's actually look like a real model boat hull, not lego, great job, I was at my library last night picking some WWII plane books up, and I checked for some (...) (...) You can turn off perspective in POV-Ray by adding the keyword "orthographic" to the camera. For example, camera { location <x,y,x> look_at <x',y',z'> orthographic } Hope that helps!
