My thoughts exactly - after I was finished I realized it was a passable
Dornier 17, especially with the canopy I used, and the upper wing profile.
Oh well.

  The crosses on the wing look really good, and I like the
  dark grey--it's very "night fightery."  Tricycle landing gear are
  notoriously hard, that's true--I expect that my attempt at a
  He-162 is doomed to failure for that reason alone.  Maybe if
  I dip a brick in lead first...

The Salamander would be a totally cool MOC, I'd love to see the photos.
