| Aw, shucks. You flatter me. Really, most of the ideas I just took straight from Gundam and implemented in Lego form... the head most obviously. A lot of the stuff just sort of developed on its own. | Excellent job Mark, reminds me a lot of the nu-gundam (I think that's the name of it). The feet are really nice, and the shoulder mounted cannon is very cool. My own attempts with large scale mecha have convinced me to stick to smaller scale, due to (...) (25 years ago, 17-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

| I set the proportions for an anime/comic book figure, not necessarily reality, though I think she has a decent hourglass figure as is. It's true that many of them are heavily ornamental, but if you scour through some of the 20-odd different series, you can find more "military" looking mecha. Some of my favorites: Zeta (...) Robotech, man! :-, Then Go-Bots and Transformers (blech now), and Battletech later, though since early Battletech stole mucho from Robotech (which in turn stole mucho from Macross and Mospeda) I feel I can't really count that.
