I always say, building is a series of compomises. If I set out to build
something and I know I want it to have 10 cool design things and when I'm
done with the project and I've managed to get 8 or 9 of those cool things in
to the model, then I know I did ok.

So definetly attempt to incorporate all the cool things you would like to
have into the robot. During the course of the construction if you decide to
opt out on an item or two, its often the best choice for the model.

That is to say, the Model sometimes decides what it wants or needs.

Just a little building phylosophy I enjoy.

No problem, Terry! Sometimes our models don't match what we envision 100%
due to the
limitations of the brick, but I think this one is a partial failure due to
my wanting to accomplish
too much with it. I could have easily gone back and ditched a few of the
objectives I was trying to
meet as well as slimmed down other aspects of the model, but I wasn't
willing to compromise.

(...) Great comment! I'll keep this in mind as I work on the other models. As someone who doesn't compromise, it won't be easy, but I'll work on it. (...) Yep. As I mentioned before-IH probably would have been a better looking model if I wasn't so (...) (21 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Hey, it's your opinion and I can certainly respect that. The colorscheme is one that just doesn't translate into photographs very well at all and I'll freely admit that it's the darkest creation I've ever built. From the knees to the toes (...)
