Woohoo! Go Dave! I was wondering where Invictus went. I really loved hearing
the build story though.

I felt you guys needed to know why this project took so very long to finish.
Mindset really is
everything.

This mecha/beast is sweet. I love the huge body and then the small t-rex
arms coming out the side. It makes it look much more beastish than if it had
properly scaled arms. The giant maw on the front of the head really adds to
the freak factor. Great use of dino tails! The tubes and chains add I nice
effect as well, reinforcing that this thing could tear anything apart.

Here's the deal. The body is quite large-larger than anticipated, but it's
the hips that make the
body so huge. The arms weren't initially on the model for the longest time,
but they got added in
because something just didn't look right. I made them very slender in
proportion to the model to
add in the vestigial arm look and I think that aspect works well for being a
bit of an afterthought.
I'll see if I have better pics of just the head. I think I might still have
a pic or two of just the head.

At first I didn't like the short legs in relation to the body, but it adds
an ogre Shrekish feel to it, which makes the bio mecha stuff look even cooler.

heh heh! Funny thing about this is that the legs really aren't that small-16
studs long per leg
section, but in proportion to the 24 stud long torso, they do pale in
comparison. I guess that just
means I'll have to make larger legs next time around. ;)

Great work Dave! and congrats for getting it done!!

Thanks Geordan! Expect to see a few more (smaller) items from me soon.
