After reading this thread, I had to find out if it was true or not.

It looks like it is true because I went digging through both Lego and
Bandai's secured servers and found a pic of one of the prototypes which I
uploaded to my folder:

What I'm really surprised by is it seems they are doing something right with
this license: no juniorization, lots of good pieces, great playability.
It's great to see they've finally come to their senses after screwing things
up the last few years.

To think Brad Justus had me fooled the whole time when I asked him about
mecha!

Heh, heh... any chance you can forward us some of those links? ;-)

Interesting how Lego and Bandai went with the patented "Sun Yun" mouthpiece...I
hope you were well compensated...

Good thing I can turn to Lugnet to have my emotions toyed with ;-)

Chris

Really, though, I was beginning to think I had completely missed April
1st...Not even one prank on campus today!  Not one professor faking a pop
quiz...

Hey all, I heard some great news yesterday!  I was talking to a friend of • mine
at Bandai Entertainment, and he said that the toy division was very excited
over a new Licensing Agreement they had just reached on Friday.  Apparently,
Lego has acquired the Gundam License!  They plan to start releasing sets • early
next year, beginning with minifig scale models from the One Year War, • including
the original Gundam and the Zaku.  I don't know about you all, but I can't • wait
to see what they come up with!

(...) I was rather shocked this AM, Josette had Martha Stewart on and she was explaining how to make and serve up "the perfect glass of water" and showing how she turned the cereal boxes inside out to make them "match the decor of your kitchen"...
