I would, given that Bandai has been very protective with their Gundam
product lines, and both LEGO and Bandai has been heading toward the same
direction in the last few year w.r.t. their construction toys/models.  Bandai's
models are very easy to build if you are not gona paint it.  A Master Grade
Gundam kit is as easy to build as any large size LEGO technic set.  Mean while
LEGO's new lines are heading toward less generic, model specific pieces.  A
LEGO Galidor set looks almost like a Bandai model set, you just don't need to
cut the pieces off the tree.

Why would Bandai let LEGO make Gundam stuff when they have the same
top-of-the-line injection technology?

Think about the Star Wars sets in a sense. Alone, normal models by LucasFilm
took a long time and plenty of glue to put together, and you weren't
guaranteed good results. And, the cheap imitation models made by other
companies didn't even compare to the Lego ones. They had double versatility,
and brought profits for both Lego and LucasFilm. The same would probably go
for Bandai, Join with Lego, and the models could be used both ways, you
could take them apart, and make your own version, but with the Gundam
models, I don't think you can do that. No painting or glue is needed, you're
guaranteed excellent results and they would might as well be best sellers
right there and then. If it's the challange you're looking for, you might as
well scrap the set and build your own version. 'Nuff Said.

Just my two brickz...
