Even so, I'm sure if Lego were to license Gundam models, trhey would be in
the same sense of star wars sets. This isn't really an issue of licensing
here, but even though LucasFilm license out their models, that makes it
really no different than Ban-Dai. If you've seen the high quality models of
the Star Wars ships and such, they're really no different then Gundam, other
than the sense that Gundam are Robots.

Actually most serious model makers modify their Gundam models.  It take a lot
of modeling skill but if you enter any unmodified model into competitions you
will never win.  What Bandai have done with their model they made them very
easy to build for beginners.  Bandai basically covered all age groups with
their toy lines and models.

Same with Lego, here. If you take a good set from Lego, and you wish to
customize it to your liking, ass a few wings here and there, and presto,
instant MOC. Well, actually you'd have to do more than that, but It's all
too similar, isn't it? :)

I would love to see it happens, but given the high violence content in Gundam
shows, and some high number of nude scenes in some of them like Turn-A, I
really doubt LEGO would touch it in the next ten years.

Hey, me too! I'd like to see some Gundam models make it into the mainstream
in the distant future, but unfortunately, as you said, there might be a few
issues here and there, but they don't have to make a nude scene set, do they?

Just my two brickz...
