Finally! This mecha took way too long to complete. I started it after
Christmas, and only got it done yesterday. I guess age slows you down. Heh.

Anyways, this mobile platform is similar in some ways to my
MTP, which I did all the way
back in 2003. However, there are references to my other mobile platforms, as
well.
I should also mention that this mecha is quite stable. In fact, after the
MDP and MWP, it is one of the most stable MPs I’ve ever built. Even on slick
surfaces it does not collapse. Ironically however, if I lift it up, the
middle leg joints pull themselves apart and the legs dangle. Oh well. :-)

Awesome new weapons platform, Mladen! Others have commented on the
“hammerhead”, the gatling gun, the missile doors, the sensors--in other
words, they didn’t leave me much. But they left me something! I love the
hidden “inset” colors--the white cockpit, the burnt orange in the leg missile
wells, and the orange in the main body missile well. Just the right little
splashes of color to contrast with the grays and black. Great MOC!

I use the orange for the missile wells as a kind of “warning” colour. The orange
looks better against the greys than red or yellow. Glad you like it.

Of course your mobile platforms always remind me of Shirow’s gun platforms
from Appleseed. If you’ve not yet seen the 2004 update of the Appleseed
movie, I highly recommend it--the CGI gun platforms, the landmates, cyborgs
and robots in action--it’s pure visual candy.

It’s absolutely shameful that I still haven’t seen it. The next time I pass by
it at Blockbuster, I’ll definitely pick it up. Thanks for the reminder.
