  Re: New MOC:

(...) Ok, wow. Check the parts and form! Yeeeessh! Ahhh yes, a visit the Mladen Pejic web site. Good wrtite up and pictures (as always - par excell) Dude! the colors man. ya. the front turret, the shape, the main hull foundation. The back end! The (...)   Re: New MOC:

(...) Jeesh, If I must. Mladen you wonderful fool you. why do I keep getting this feeling that 2005 is gonna be a special year? Ok, I see all the good stuff that makes for Mladen battle platforms. I see a few more studs than what is normal, I'll (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

Daaaaayumn. That's a slick bit of work right there. The detailing is money, especially that sensor turret in the nose. How did you get those giant railguns to hold a pose? Black magic? One issue I have with the design is the number of primary (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: A-33 Mobile Battle Platform (MBP)

(...) NOTE: I forgot to add the name of this mecha in the original post. What a dumb mistake. :-( I fixed it this one time though. Thanks Eric! I'm glad you like it. By adding ridiculous amounts of weaponry on my mecha, I am hoping to entice you to (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) Oh, my. I'm so delighted to see a further evolution of the upper-body stylings used in the "Crab" you posted some time back. In particular, the further development of the "T" layout and the integration of the EWF package (and the chin sensor (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) Heh! GO '05! (...) Yep, the minifigs are always to blame. Honestly though, I can't cover up everything, nor do I want to sometimes. (...) Yeah, I wanted to make this mecha very detailed. My logic was to make the basic grey, dk. grey, and blue (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) See, I can't agree. I love SNOT too (I can never get over the urge to go "ew" to that) but the military plain-ness really helps in this case. It gives the platform a sense of "edifice" or "fortification"; add that to the curvature at the nose (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) Nope, I used these: (3 URLs) I used two for each gun. Very stiff. I also used this combo on the MWP. (...) I see your point. However, to tell you the truth, I'm sorta sick of drab colour schemes. My last two mobile platforms were drab, and I (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Gun Stiffening (was: Re: New MOC:)

(...) !!! I just went downstairs and tried this (I assume your method puts the "handle" of the bullhorn in the open end of the Technic peg after it's through the brick) and it seems to work very, very well indeed. Is that how you did it? I've been (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) God, I do so love your replies LFB! Yes, this is basically the "Crab" blown up 3-4 times or something. I was considering making the top a very low turret in the planning stage, back in September-October, but around November I realized it (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) Holy! Another post by LFB, this must be my lucky day! And it's a riposte, defending moi! (...) Yeah, in some ways, the lines of long grey bricks, and long grey slopes can evoke bare concrete, as seen on the exterior of WWII bunkers, (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Gun Stiffening (was: Re: New MOC:)

(...) Wow, a third post by LFB, this is truly a day to remember. (...) Yep, that's how it works. Glad you find it useful. (...) Well, I learned a weaker method of stiffening from Ben Vaughan, he used a (URL) instead of the loudhailer for his mecha's (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) Slick. I imagine that's good for much more weight than you're putting on it. (...) I think you misunderstand. I'm not saying it needs to be drab, I'm saying it needs one primary color less. I'd lean towards dumping the red, myself. (...) Hehe. (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New MOC:

If there's anyone that can make me post here its you!! This is freakin sweet. Gosh-Dang I love it. What does it for me with your stuff is the details. Its so big but everything is perfected down to the stud. There are way too many cool innovations (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

In lugnet.build.mecha, Geordan Hankinsong wrote: OMG, first a three-post burst by LFB, and now this! Geordo! MY bestest friend ever! (...) Thanks man! I knew you'd like the main sensor. Just knew it.   Re: New MOC:

One of my favorite mecha to date. This is a wonderfully insane Mobile Battle Platform; what with those totally Mladen side-spars supporting outrageously large "square-barreled death-cannons", quoting Keith, humongus amounts of missle-power, and of (...)   Re: New MOC:

I really like the sliding seat on angled rails, like a fighter plane's ejector seat. Very well done. (The grooved bricks and sliders are really fun parts to use.) Also it looks like if you allowed the front quadrants of the cockpit door could close (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) Thanks Matthew! I'm so glad you, like others, find the whole mecha satisfying. The chair is really nothing new; it's inspired by anime shows and movies such as Patlabor, which feature seats that slide out to allow the (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) Yeah, people really seem to dig the sliding seat. Good point about splitting up the hatch, I thought of it, but didn't have the desire to do it. I included small hold bars on the sides, so I don't think it would be that difficult to get out. (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) I was wondering when we'd hear from you again, Mladen, and this is worth the wait! When I saw the thumbnail I thought, "are those blue droid soldier bodies on the feet", but then I saw how mistaken I was in regard to the size! I'm working on a (...)   Re: New MOC:

(...) LOL! That is funny. When I'm building stuff like this, I'm quite aware that it could possibly be built at different scales. It certainly would be interesting to make microfig versions of all six mobile plaforms. Someday perhaps... (...) Thanks (...) (19 years ago, 10-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) This has to be, as mentioned earlier, your best Mobile Platform yet. As usual I dig the "cleanness" of the construction and color scheme. Would not change a thing. My favorite things though are the ordinance, the turrets, and the awesome seat. (...) (19 years ago, 10-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) Thanks David! I guess in some ways this mecha could indeed fit into both the Patlabor and Appleseed universe. It has the scale of the mobile platform from Appleseed, yet features Patlabor-type styling. BTW, for sure in '05 I'm going to do (...) (19 years ago, 10-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

Mladen you magnificent bastard. For me, this is really a tale of 2 mocs. The first moc is the main body: it is definetly money, maybe your best to date. The rounded shape, all the assorted spicy-death....classic Mladen action. The second moc is the (...) (19 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC:

(...) LOL! I don't know how you do it, but you always stay fresh and original with your replies. I know what you're saying about the legs being diff. from the body. I guess it happened because I took a bit of a break after building the legs, so that (...) (19 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
