Happy dance! Mladen’s back! and with a gloriously technicolor creation, no less....

It’s been almost a year since I built my last bipedal mecha! This time around however, I have finally succeeded in creating a posable mecha without those flimsy ball-joints.

Flimsy? Hmmm...to each his own. Granted, I’ve been staying away from them for awhile now, but that’s only to devise newer joint tech and expand on older stuff as well.

The result is surprising sturdy, and can accept a variety of attachments. In the future, I will definitely take the joint ideas I used for the “Centurion” and apply them onto larger mecha.

...commence drooling...

Seriously, man, this is a nice design-exaggerated in all the right places. Like some of the others, I’ve got concerns about the colorscheme, but it is growing on me. I guess my problem with it is that I consider brown to work well with either red or dk grey, not both at the same time. I think that made sense...anyway, other than the funky head design (which I’m not grooving), I love this model. Nice curves all over-especially the leg structure.

It’s good to hear from you again - keep on building!

(...) I'm not say they are crap. They work fine up to a certain scale, after that though, you have to either stiffen the ball-joints somehow (I don't like modding my parts), or find another joint system. (...) Thanks Dave!
