This is really a first for me. For years now, Ive always made my bipedal mecha
either flimsy thus requiring numerous stoppers (which are eyesores design-wise)
to hold up or so rigid that their one pose looked awkward. BUT no more! I
finally got those ball joints to work. Sure it took some time for me to get
right, but I finally freakin did it! Haha!
Alright, must calm down now. :-D
This mecha took longer than it should have to build. The torso and legs really
posed some challenges. With larger mecha such as my Joker and even Brute I
had plenty of space to work with, but not so with this ball joint mecha. I could
not exceed certain mass limits, otherwise the whole thing would collapse like a
rag doll. Making a torso that was ~4 studs tall, could fit a minifig, and had 3
connection points proved difficult for me at first, but I finally settled on
what you see right now.
As for the weapons, I went a bit crazy. Im a big fan of all types of military
equipment and weaponry, so I hope you all can bear seeing another mecha totin
an AR around. ;-)
Oh, and I also tried incorporate designs from the Rhino into this mecha, i.e.
the hatch is tiled in a similar manner, the optical sensors are dk. grey, red,
and lt. blue, etc.
Enjoy!

| No more VOTOMS for you :) That's a really nice model. Great color scheme, and an excellent array of weapons (although the rocket launcher just doesn't "do it for me".) Sole critique: The chest looks sunken. It's more in the nature of personal (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

| (...) Congradulations! Glad to see that you finally are getting into the poseable mecha realm...does this mean now I have to start making loads of weapons for my mecha? ;-) Have you tried Geordan's ball stiffening technique? This mecha is cool. I've (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| (...) I did, very much. This is one of my favorites of yours to date. The color scheme is great, you incorporated the ball joints wonderfully, so that it doesn't look too flimsy at the joints, and you managed to squeeze a minifig into that teeny (...) | (...) Dang dude! Those "on the ground" Sniper Shots are the bomb! Wow! Brill! I gotta say, it is so cool to see the two short wings used on the sides of the Mecha as the structure of the body. Then on the back, that grey inverted slope is used in (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| (...) Excellent poseablilty there Mladen. It makes photgrahping mecha all that much more fun when you can wrangle them into all sorts of cool or kooky poses. I agree to a degree with Soren about the pot belly though. It's not exactly fear inspiring, (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| (...) Way to Go Mladen! This is coolio. I don't mean anything by it but I swore this mech needs to cut back on the beer. I mean, my God, the gut. Sit ups man! Sit ups. Kidding. I do dig the movement you got out of this guy. Small and posable isn't (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| This is sweet! and it's posable! As others have said the bold colours are very cool. You're so good at using bright colours really well. Yellow would never come up on a real mecha, but you make it look convincing. I like the torso alot, it gives it (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jul-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
