   Hello Mladen
Heh, I finally made use of the precious few sand green elements I had.

You certainly made good use of them.

Thanks.

I have none of those nifty, wide Technic treads, so my only option for building anything close to a futuristic MBT was to make a multiped mecha with a turret.

You know, I could just picture the Prowler with those treads and it would look just as awesome, maybe even more so. Did you consider a Hover Tank of sorts?

Heh, I did consider a hover tank. But I think simply reinterpreting modern tank designs as futuristic hovering vehicles is wrong. Being able to fight in a 3d environment would drastically change the shape of a tank. My “Mammoth” tried to give a new perspective on what a hover tank might look like.

The turret proved too small for a minifig, so I sort of copped out and made this an “autonomous” tank. Bah, one day I’ll make a turret that can fit those chubby minifigs. ;-)

I have been considering the autonomous tank idea since I saw the Scarab on Karim Nassar’s site.

Yeah, I love all of Karim’s work. He was really a pioneer in the whole LEGO mecha building thing.

Then I also saw it in the Patlabor movie I practically began buiding one but then decided to keep going with the power armor projects.

Patlabor II is awesome, I think everyone can agree to that. :-)

LOL, just remembering how they shot up those cables with shotguns brings a smile to my face. Oh, and the regular tanks and attack helicopters are beautiful too. That movie was definitely made with style.

I enjoyed this one greatly. Thanks man. Take care.

Thank you again David. Take care as well, and I can’t wait to see what will hold these.
