wow, a scaled down mecha! thats just my size! i really dig this one. its
just about the same scale as my spider tank. so, did you run out of brick,
or just thought you might try a smaller mech this time.
|
Yeah, the sand green was the limiting factor, parts wise.
|
which reminds me--do
you cannabalize your giant mechs or keep them assembled?
|
No, I build a MOC, photograph it, LDraw it, and then disassemble it.
|
anyways, on to the
review: my favorite part of this mech is the turret. it has a nice round
shape and (i know its already been said) it actually has a round
barrel--kind of like mixing the old with the new. i also like the color
scheme: you cant go wrong with sand-green. i didnt see a driver, so is
this one automated?
|
Thanks, and yep, its automated.
|
nice use of anti-peronnel cannons both fore and aft.
|
Actually, the fore mounted device is a
standard camera, and the aft tube is an
electric plug, used to connect the mecha to an external battery.
|
im not too fond of the legs, however. they do have a great sturdy shape to
them, but lack detail (not that mine had that much detail, either) that im
used to seeing in your mechs. perhaps thats just due to the scale.
|
I dont know what to think of them myself. Maybe I shouldnt have used those 1x4
grooved bricks, but I just couldnt resist; I love those pieces.
Thanks Jason, glad to hear from you, as always.

jason
p.s. so when is your next bipedal mecha going to come out? im shaking with
anticipation.
|
Heh, Im happy that youre excited, but I dont know if I want to venture into
bipedal land again. I really want to build a large, perhaps foot tall, mecha
again, but Im simply too busy to do that anytime soon. :-(
