  Re: let it go

Privatly Dave is being nice to me and I feel like a Jerk. I still beleve in what I said but it should not take up space here. We will resolve our issues elswhere as it should be done. Please excuse this noise. e P.S. Man, do I take my Mecha Lumps or (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  let it go

(...) As far as I'm concerned, this issue is over. Don't complain publicly concerning things which should be dealt with privately. I never slacked off in the first place, so just let it drop and let me get back to working on the sidebar rather than (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit.

(...) I am in the position of knowing virtually nothing about Anime or any of the plethora of Japanese cartoons that inspire the Lego Mecha genre. It is yet to be determined if this is an advantage or a disadvantage. (...) Thanks. They're my (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: No, we don't. - Just do your Job

Dave, I thought we resolved the issue, why are you persisting. Just do your job and I won't complain. Slack off again and I'll be on your back. I'm holding back real bad. Eric Sophie (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  No, we don't.

(...) 1) The sidebar always keeps changing-that's just the nature of the beast. New additions to it were even made tonight (thanks to Jon Palmer for the inspiration) 2) Working behind the scenes means that many changes are suble enough that the (...)   Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit.

Thsi reminds me very much of the suit used in the old DBZ show or was it the movie? Oh I think it was the Red Ribbon Army mech. It had skinny limbs, huge hands, and a fat belly. First off, the hands make this mecha. They draw my eye on every pic. (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Debut MOCs: Landmate Frenzy

Soren I took my time to really look at all the creation you posted and I have made several observations. You have studied the works of Colin I see. Nice. Ok... CL04: Ingenious hands, but seem skimpy compared to overall bulk of the mech. I really dig (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Let's get some Good Feedback - Brutal Honesty makes a better builder -

(...) I'd probably agree with that statement, however that doesn't mean it provides *no* help - I think criticism often leads one to experiment with new techniques, and to a degree, I think that can help one's building skill (make nueral connections (...)   Re: Sea Monkey Attack Vehicle - the Attack Crab

(...) Hey, Alpha Team needs YOU! The Landmates would be great mecha against the AttackCrab, if the Landmates attacked en masse! And on the land, the Landmates have an advantage-they're small and quick. Joe Meno PS. Your landmates look really cool! (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Sea Monkey Attack Vehicle - the Attack Crab

(...) Thanks! Once the legs came to be (I originally wasn't going to use legs), the whole model came together! Well, except for the tail..that took two more tries:) The cockpit was a truly happy accident. Originally, there wasn't going to be a (...)   Re: Criticism and the LMHoF

(...) One thing I'd like to point out is that I'm one of the most fortunate mecha builders that post here. Why? Because of Chris' previous paragraph. Let me go off on a tangent for a minute to explain. Building mecha isn't an easy thing to do-we do (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: How to critique, was Re: We need a new curator

(...) Nicely put, Kirby! The only way to learn to build mecha is to actually sit down and do it. My starting point was to emulate Colin Gutierrez' building style and to branch out from there. Mark Sandlin is also a great place to start from due to (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

Re: You should all read this (was Re: We need a new curator)

(...) Excellent point, Mark! This is one of the primary reasons that I don't post to every mecha I see-I don't wish to be percieved as a 'Cool creation, dude!' kinda' guy. Single sentence posts that offer no CONSTRUCTIVE criticism are essentially (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Let's get some Good Feedback - Brutal Honesty makes a better builder -

It is difficult to say whether criticism in this realm is constructive. This issue gets to the core of the building process. My constructions have naturally become better over time as my brain has developed better neural connections for building. To (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Criticism, Dave Johann, LMHoF

Hey, all, I've been away from Lugnet for a little while; I log on today, and find a Whirlwind of discussion about various topics. I would really like to address a few: 1) Criticism: I agree with Mark and Tony. I really haven't been participating (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
