One thing I'd like to point out is that I'm one of the most fortunate mecha
builders that post here. Why? Because of Chris' previous paragraph. Let me
go off on a tangent for a minute to explain. Building mecha isn't an easy
thing to do-we do everything any other theme produces (a final product), but
ours has something special-articulation. Sure, train doors open and close,
but have you ever seen a train move it's arms? Nope. Articulation-something
we all work hard to achieve. How do we KNOW we are successful? Via Feedback,
that's how. Feedback via the internet is nice, but there's something much
more satisfying in face to face feedback as Chris mentioned. I'm lucky
enough to recieve feedback from my buddy Bryce McGlone partly because he
builds much like I do (mentally, at least), but also from Chris, Sun, Eric,
Mark S., and others I've been fortunate enough to speak with face to face
over the past couple of years. Know what? I've loved every single comment
because I knew it was coming from the heart. Web-based responses don't
convey the emotion nearly as well. Thanks guys!

Thanks, Chris-that really means a lot to me-you know it does. Everything
will work out in some shape or form, it has to. regarding the build.mecha
curator thing-it's not getting me down and I'm not really talking about it
much because it was completely misrepresented in the first place. I'll post
about this soon, though I'd rather be building and checking out other
peoples' designs. I will say this much- not a week goes by that I don't do
something to the sidebar, even if it's just a minor adjustment. You'll see
more in the coming days (and weeks, months, and years). :)

| Hey, all, I've been away from Lugnet for a little while; I log on today, and find a Whirlwind of discussion about various topics. I would really like to address a few: 1) Criticism: I agree with Mark and Tony. I really haven't been participating (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
