wow! I have a theory: I think lazy LBBs created the TBBs, to cover up for their lax work habits. Either that, or Eric's clearly lost his mind. Then again, maybe it's the rest of us that are mad.... (...) Yes, it somewhat looks like a converted civilian model or test prototype with the seeming gaps in frontal armor protection. If you look real quick you can just barely see them. They scurry and jump around, in and out of the Lego Area in a blink of an eye. Cool MOC, as usual Mark. ;-D Like others have mentioned, the use of the Bionicle mask is very "neat" (okay, okay, it's totally sweet dude). One suggestion though, add more armour to the front. Now that is one cool mecha, hehe, awesome, it looks like it has really good articulation, and all of it is mechanized too, just too cool, This is such a clever idea too, I mean, I would never have thought to take a bird of prey to mecha. hehe, (...) hey cool, That is one of the coolest hard suits I've seen in a while! what a awesome use of the bionicle mask, that is ingenious. I have to admit, I've smothered my screen with drool looking at his dragon and can't deny that they were an influence. (...) You really only get this sense with articulated mecha like this, not solid sculptures. The feather design on the wing is very organic and natural looking. Yeah, I was shooting for something different. Make it look life like. Actually I wanted something universially appealing. Something my wife wouldn't mind displaying in the living room and that I thought was cool. This brings up a interesting issue (...) my newest design is a redo of the Macco with new arms and a new chest design, i'm still working on the armor componants and seeing what i can do to the head(which is basicly the same as it was on the original). these arms are the best I have ever (...) You know that's my only beef too. Body's a bit square but it does look better in person, so much you wouldn't notice. Also, it's hard to see but the body does taper in the back and there are slopes on the front of the body. Ultimately the body's (...) Nice work Joel. The legs, ankles, and feet are very well done. They fit together nicely. The hat makes the mecha look whimsical. I'll need a while to warm up to it. Looking good man. What'd be cool if you can get a movie of these guys fighting like in the game. What I like about the Mecha is that this is a good exercise in how a mecha can look humanoid with out looking human to work. This guy looks bare bones. (...) I particuarily like the right handed weapon. The arms look a little funny. I'd beef up the biceps, time to *pump up!* The hat is cute. Silly even. I love it. Say, that's hella cool! G, this is a nifty thing-- I love the shattered plaster (mud?)walls-- the effect is very realistic from a certain distance. I like the poor guy on the stretcher, too. Ever seen the little kit you can buy, it contains the nitinol wire and enough small bits to create a little hexapod. All you need is solder and an iron. This is my newest mecha, built in about a day and it doesen't exactly look up to par but I couldn't wait for the overpowering temptation to change it when i know that no matter what I can do, this is as good as i can make it. or at least until I (...) Bobby, Sometimes, it's a little like peeking behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz, or finding out how the magician performs his trick-- I'm still fascinated by that very first pic, and seeing inside is never quite as good. Jeremy, As usual, I'm very impressed with your additions. The attention to detail, not only in the figures, but in the scenes borders on obsessive. (...) Thanks Borislav. Believe it or not, the scenes were built using free tools. MLCad and L3P+LGEO provided the core Lego parts, and the scenery effects -- rocket flare, landscape, sky, etc. -- were all added in using POVRay code (MegaPOV in some (...)
