  Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

I have v.1 - v.4. The story is pretty good, the mecha are cool, although not very diverse. Some pretty good dvds if you can get them for less then retail. Pat J (...) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

(...) Well, I'd heard that it was highly political, and bore more than a few similarities to Neon Genesis Evangelion. (Anything as good as Eva is bound to be influential. ;)) The mecha ARE highly realistic... unlike Gundam and Macross (and don't get (...) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mech: The Zion

(...) Erm, allow me: SIEG ZION! ;) (...) Kewl... reminds me of the RX-78 "Perfect Gundam" variant, what with the big bright patches of red. Love the rifle (I just likes mecha-scaled rifles!) Criminy, I got some catching up to do.... Chris "Also" (...) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mech: The Zion

(...) Nice mech! Is there a background story to go along with it as well? For example why is it called The Zion? Keep them comming! Bobby (Neo)Oz) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

(...) If you are looking for good mech action just check out the first four and last four episodes of Gundam Wing. I was a hardcore Star Wars fan for a decades: I have seen the trilogy hundredths of times (literally) and own hundredths of dollars (...) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) (in zombie-like voice) "One of us! One of us! One of us!" Hehehe Awesome mecha Chris! This is like a leap for you. Wow, it looks terrific. Everything is just so detailed! I like the guns too. Overall, great job Chris! (...) Yay! My curved gun (...) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

(...) I remember that name, but it doesn't stand out for me, so chances are I didn't think that much of it. Seen so much that it sometimes blurs into one. IMHO the best anime over the last few years was Neon Genesis: Evangelion. Involved story, (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New mech: The Zion

Boy, one picture doesn't satisfy you guys, so I guess I'll upload em all. :-) (URL) is the Zion. Equipped with full arsenal of laser sword, KA-101 BLAM rifle, shoulder cannon, and wrist cannons, the Zion is the first mech I've built this large that (...) snip (...) Well that's good, movie's without a plot but lot's of action stink IMO (ex. MI2) (...) I'm 5 min. in right now, their's an awesome mecha drop ship at the begining, very similar to your's, the four mechs are in pairs side by side on a set (...)   Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

(...) Ooo! You lucky dog! Found Gasaraki on your first try! ;-) (...) Knowing this, expect to see a lot of political talk. Patlabor 1 & 2 were filled with great characters, and interesting plot.   Gasaraki 1, any good?

Hey all, in my anime lacking frustration, I went to the movie rental shop and checked out their anime section, the only anime besides Gundam, escaflowne, and dragon ball(z) that I have heard of was patlabor (Mladen mentions it often) and appleseed (...)   Re: small rocket mounting

How about mixing in a minifig cup <part:3899> with the round 1x1 bricks? I don't have any handy at the moment, but if I recall correctly the recessed bottom of the round bricks will fit into the top of the cup. Then you can use a clip to attach the (...)   Re: small rocket mounting

(...) I (...) In recent years my MOC's have all been non-violent, but in my KFOL days, I made a lot of heavily armed spacecraft. My preferred technique for mounting missiles was to take the 1x1 plate with "hand" and attach it to the underside of the (...)   Re: small rocket mounting

(...) Heres an idea: you know those quasi-useless straws that were found in many of the SW sets (I think peeron calls them 'Technic Flex System Hose'). Anyway. they seem to be *exactly* the right outer-diameter to push thru a sequence of 1x1 round (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: small rocket mounting

Build a 1x1 "headlight" into the body of the missle? That way it can be attached many different ways. I use this all the time. Here, I even found the part: (URL) non-LEGO solution is to use the round version of this part: (URL) MEGABLOCKS or one of (...)   Re: Getting my own fingers into this mech thing.

Very nice mecha. I like the backstory. What strikes me most about this mecha is the organic hunched feel. The posture really gives it personality. Good articulation on the neck as well. The posability of the head help with the whole personality (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
