So here's a story about two Mech builders living on opposite coasts with like minds and how Q came to visit. I "played" with Lego ever since I was a kid. Thank you, trying to make use of interesting or uncommon parts is one thing that makes these Mechs stand out. Nice job, Eric! I'm not a mecha fan, by any means, but it's nice to see someone make great use of parts that I have previously considered useless (for the stuff I build). (URL) is the second gladiator mech. Alot less hitting and stabbing tools in this baby but, but a huge homing cannon strapped to the rear. Ha ha thanks, My Robots are non-violent, for me I belive that in a time when we will master these types of machines in the future, mans primitive violent instincts will be surpased by enlightnement thru technical know how. Hmm... okeydokey... well first to answer Mladen's question "random on" is a phrase I use a lot on my base website Pete's Page of Random, which basically refers to keep being random and act random. I totally agree here. Try building maybe one mech with a solid colour scheme, see how you like it, post it and see what you think. If you like it, then by all means keep building with a solid theme. Well, I and many other people on LUGNET, do care somewhat for colour schemes. Maybe in your next mecha you should try to stick to a specific colour scheme. As far as the actual mecha goes, it nice. When a model is really cool, I always read descriptions, they help explain(usually) what everything does and what the person who made the mecha was thinking when they put that particular piece or section on the mecha. just my $0.02 keep them mechs (...) Are you telling me that in the future armour will still be heavy? LOL! Some tanks and other war machines are heavily armoured but still quite fast and maneuverable.   New mecha, the Maverick MK1
 
Here's my most recent mecha, the maverick. It's not really anything much but it's kind of cool. I wanted to build the torso of it in the shape of a buffalo's because it makes the mech look a little "tougher" regardless of size, I think I succeeded (...) One thing to aid the building, I do use a 1x8 tile and use the flat end to stick into tight places and press things down where my fingers can't get (i.e., damn near everywhere on minimechs :-) (...) Welcome to LUGNET! You have a nice site design that is really easy to navigate... Your mecha have swell design though try "colour coding" your mecha a little more, but good overall design, I like the one with the treads. I'm not anyone to talk as (...) Well actually I'm just saying hello, for the better part introducing myself to everyone here on LUGNET, I'm not sure if this is the best category to hang out, but it seems to be. (...) show (...) Yeah, I tell you, micro-fig mecha are hard to build and pose, but the challenge is just so great. I sometimes feel like taking some tweezers to fine-tune each limb and piece. Chris, we Mech guys have been kicking around the Idea of going next year because we just can'y make it this year. We already have some ideas about doing somthing simular to what you have suggested. Mladen, I love the way this micro-fig mech looks! Agile,battering ram mech! Very cool Idea, I like the fork lift blade in the head, Heck I like it all, you know I'm not sure I could do somthing like this, I just don't think in those terms. Your the (...) I forgot to put this in the previous post, is there a faster way to upload to brickshelf other than uploading each file one by one? It took me 1 and a half hours on a dsl connection to upload those photos!!!! thanks Geordan (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
