  Re: New Mecha: The Tribunal

(...) and to think I almost abandoned this project when Mark posted his mecha tank! (...) Maybe on my next design, but this one was built out of what I had available in the tan , brown, and that wierd color I have yet to name (...) Thank you, little (...)   Re: New Mecha: The Tribunal

I also use the Gimp for some work, but white balance is fairly easily done with Picassa as well. In fact I tend to take most photos into it and hit the "I'm feeling Lucky" button - which adjusts white balance, other colour balances and a few other (...)   Re: New Mecha: The Tribunal

(...) Jon, this is rather an ambitious project, given its size, the triangular leg configuration (cool method of connecting the torso), and the wicked awesome tank treads on the feet. I like this mix of colors, but I would have liked to see them (...) (19 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: My first mecha

(...) Sean, I was really impressed to see how close you got to the miniature at this small scale. I particularly liked the slope work on the chest, with the 1x1 slopes mounted at different orientations, and the larger center slope. The feet also (...)   Re: New Mecha: The Cub

(...) Hi K, yes sculptural, but the mobility is still intact. I mean, I can filp and rotate the shoulder so the arm can stay elevated. The Cub can do stuff like that. Although I wouldn't say it is as strong as the trusty worm gear set up. (...) I, (...) (19 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Plasmic Bricks dot com

(...) Maybe the therapy will help me figure this out. Honestly I just think it's fun to make cute lil' LEGO all evil. (...) Maybe I should have gone alpha numeric... (...) You got that right! No documentation = no credit! For all we know Eric's only (...) (19 years ago, 28-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: Nemo II

(...) It packs a lot of detail into a small package without looking busy. All your creations show a great use of color for detail. The printed parts also are well chosen. And I particularly like that it isn't entirely studless. The studs add (...) (19 years ago, 28-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Plasmic Bricks dot com

(...) Very well done. Having your words with the MOCs was great, though they offered no insight into why your Lego creations became so... sick (in a good way). :-) I'm even mentioned in there. (My clever numbering scheme is now up to double digits. (...) (19 years ago, 28-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New Mecha: The Cub

Though more of a sculpture, without the joint mobility and Technic drive gizmos, it's an interesting design exploration. The head is still somewhat insectoid, but more armored. It looks like something I'd build. The body looks heavy and tough. I can (...) (19 years ago, 28-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  New Mecha: The Tribunal

I just finished my latest Mecha, I call it Tribunal. You WILL be judged!! I warned you all with my last Mecha post that I might decide to make another tripod at some point. This project was much more ambitious than TAU, and incorporates a few new (...) (19 years ago, 26-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space)

  Re: My first mecha

I like it. its a good representation. For those in the dark on this - the original looks something like this: (URL) weapons look the part, although I think the fins only need to be on one shoulder. I think that you could get the look a bit closer (...) (19 years ago, 26-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My first mecha

(...) Snip (...) As you have no doubt noticed, Sean, building mechs gets a little tricky at times. However, I can tell you that as a total Battletech junkie you have done very well with this one. (...) Actually, I wouldn't be too upset about the (...) (19 years ago, 25-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  My first mecha

Hi, everyone! I'm normally all about architecture, sculpture, and whatnot, and I've never built any serious sci-fi. I was recently commissioned by a woman to build a model of a mech called "Viktor Hannan" for her brother. He's a total Mech nut, and (...) Bryce - what is the creation you are wearing as a hat - is it the rack? Interesting use of Lego anyway... I like the site - however I noted some links are target blank, and others arent. I would generally say to make sure external links out to (...) (19 years ago, 24-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

plasmicbricks.com OR (URL) Links are now fixed. (...) Thanks Mladen. Although I'd be flattered if anyone said the same thing it means so much more coming from you, one of the "OG" mecha guys. (...) Thanks again. I was kinda debating whether to write (...) (19 years ago, 24-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
