  New Graphics

Dear mecha readers, you may have noticed the new graphics for our little space here on Lugnet. I worked with Mark Sandlin on these and want to give him a Huge Thank You for helping to get these together. Mark Neumann (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Titan XP Red

(...) Eric, thank you for the kind comments. This is one model I felt Lego did a fantastic job on...except for the color. I'd love to see others trying out a color swap like I did, but I'm not sure how many possible choices there are...I know there (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Titan XP Red

(...) Hi Marco! Keep on building. Use what you've got available to you. That's what prompted me to re-color the 4508. I knew I had the Dark Red to pull it off, so I went for it. As long as you've got a good way to keep your creations archived via (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Titan XP Red

(...) Hi Kyle! Thanks for the comments! Personally, I would have loved to replace the Orange with Dark Blue for a Dk Blue/Sand Blue combo. Alternately, I wouldn't have minded Lego putting out the Dark Red variant with Sand Red highlights. I don't (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

Hey Kyle, I love this tank! The details are phenominal. I think my favorite aspect of it are the treads on the feet because wheels and mecha don't usually go together. Keep up the fantastic work!   Re: Spider Tank

(...) Hello Kyle. Fantastic job on the Spider Tank. I saw it on GITS SAC myself and always wanted to see something like it made of Lego. You have done this for me and I thank you very much! The only suggestion I can give you is changin the colors a (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) I can dig it. You've got nice set of smooth, sorta bulbous in places, shapes that works really well. The mech ends up looking just a little cute, but that's OK. Getting the wheels in there and keeping it able to stand and pose is also very (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Oh that is nice. I love the way you got wheels in the "feet", and the iconic Vrieze half-pin missile packs are always a hit with me. The color segregation works very well, although I'd like to see a bit of white that isn't contiguous to the (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Hello Kyle, great work! You did a really good job on this multi-ped (like you always do, BTW). I like your MOC very much. Spider Tank has a wonderfull shape. IMO Studless! The bley and black fit well together. I'm a bit puzzled about the white (...) (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Wait. That's right, veritechs are from Robotech. Love that SDF-1. So does yers transform? :P (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: first public mecha

Hey Dan, I love the color scheme, reminds me of Space Police I. My favorite bit are the hands. I love how you used the 2x2 plate with the octagonal bar around it to fasten on the fingers. Very original and very cool. I also love the cockpit. The (...) (19 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Duh, man, it's a Spanish Galleon! ;) (...) Thanks! I definitely agree with you on SNOT. :) Oh, and I look forward to you finishing that ship from the Fifth Element with the swimming pool! :D Jeff (19 years ago, 28-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: 1/275 Scale Salamis Kai from Zeta Gundam

(...) Black doesn't photograph well; they're a lot more detailed in person. I'd considered Dark Grey, but I didn't have the parts at the time. I plan to get the parts, though, because I want to try it and decide if I like it better (I even have an (...) (19 years ago, 28-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Titan XP Red

(...) Hi Dave, this is sure the best looking Titan XP I saw up to now. Really nice. I would've liked to see it with the sand blue replaced by tan too. But i can understand that you now take the parts for new own creations. I sorrowfull have to do (...) (19 years ago, 28-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Titan XP Red

(...) -snip- Dave, I first saw the Titan XP fully built at Rob Limbaugh's house. His son built it and I was impressed by the shape and form of the Mecha. (except for the antenna sticking up on the head!) Then my girl friend built it while I was (...) (19 years ago, 28-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Titan XP Red

Dave, this re-color looks so cool! I wish the company had replaced the orange with dark red. Even better if they also replaced the sand blue with tan, or even keeping the sand blue, and giving us tan instead of black. (19 years ago, 28-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Compendium - Mecha Builders Links *update*

Re: 1/275 Scale Salamis Kai from Zeta Gundam

Re: 1/275 Scale Salamis Kai from Zeta Gundam

Oh wow Jeff! What a terrific aircraft carrier! Or is it that ship from that old cartoon Starblazers!?! Seriously though, I'm not sure I said so in person, but this thing is pretty cool looking, and well put together (rock solid). There's some great (...)   Re: The Compendium - Mecha Builders Links *update*

(...) Great idea! I think it could be helpfull to have a builders history in some way? I started to build my own one in (URL) here>. It needs some dividing now. I think one page per year will do for the start. The builders who like could maintain (...) (19 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Bravo

(...) Thank you Eric. I would like to have a group of Bravos surounded by some minifig squads all together supporting one or two medium mecha. That should look great! (...) Well, joint tech is really easy at this size! (...) Keep building, I know (...) (19 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: More mecha

I think you will find yourself on that list now for others Jon. While I am more inclined to building robots than mecha's I find most of these fascinating. It was Eric Sophies Jamoqlat that got me looking at the group, and truth told, I have always (...) (19 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: A few things I promised.

Wow Jon, Those buildings are truly awesome. I like the Fire Station myself. This is seriously impressive stuff. The closeups showing the connections to the inferno mech really show attention to detail. Danny (19 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Compendium - Mecha Builders Links *update*

(...) Now this is an idea I can get behind. The thumbnail page is just too graphic intensive for me to load quickly, plus I know 90% of the builders represented on it. Text is alright for me. If I may make a suggestion: alphabetize the builders. (...) (19 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: 1/275 Scale Salamis Kai from Zeta Gundam

(...) Nice Work Jeff, upon first inspection I thought it was something from Starblazers. Very cool hull shape and paint scheme. My only real complaint was the guns, but you addressed that already. I'd love to see it in person. -Keith (19 years ago, 27-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
