  Paladin

This is my 2nd attempt on a humanoid mech. I called it Paladin. (2 URLs) As (URL) Primech> had some odds in its proportions I wanted to have a try on a smaller, not gear jointed mech. It came out quite posable, and it was stable enough to hold a (...) (20 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(URL) Yo, This is Shogun. (URL) Deep Link> if needed. A while back I posted a chassis that I was working on, (URL) here>. well .. once again .. you are the robot king ! Another lovely robot, this one has real presence... and what about those study feet - very nice use of droid heads. Yvonne (20 years ago, 4-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Stormwalker

(...) Special thanks for this, because I started Stormwalker by the hips. (...) No, I won't. Do it, if you want! Build us a big mech again... (...) Again, thanks for your feedback (URL) Marco> (20 years ago, 4-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Tan Machine (MkII)

Re: Gladius - My First Mech

(...) Tim, This Mech is EYE-CANDY. Everytime I come to .mecha, I have to click on the picture. Great job! You should talk to Tim (the other Tim) at Used Brick Liquidators to make up a kit of these Mechs and sell them. (20 years ago, 4-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Tan Machine (MkII)

(...) Hey Pete, that's a awesome looking little robot. Looks like quite a bit of detail in there. I think I might fire James Stacey though, either that or get him to turn on the auto-focus. It's a shame to see such an awesome creation not get the (...) (20 years ago, 4-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Gladius - My First Mech

Tim, this is an amazing way to enter the world of mecha. I see the Mad Cat influence, but this is far nicer than any Mad Cat I've ever seen pics of. The colorscheme pulls together nicely, and the lack of a greebled torso works quite nicely. All in (...) (20 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Stormwalker

Wow! Now this is a beautiful mech. The Classic Space colors don't work for me( though I understand why you did it), but the overall design is one of the best I've seen in quite awhile. I even see some very familiar joint tech going on that I've used (...) (20 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Gladius - My First Mech

(...) I rarely comment on mechs or mecha around here, but I have to break my vow of silence. I was an old-school battletech player, and my favorite was the Catapult. When the clan books first came out, I couldn't wait for a Mad Cat figure and so I (...) (20 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Gladius - My First Mech

(...) Thanks for posting. I've gotten a very warm welcome as well! (...) I've been building for about 9 months now. My collection is just now getting to the point where I can try bigger things. I have learned a great deal just from looking at all (...) (20 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Gladius - My First Mech

(...) Pardon me for beeing so late! Welcome to .mecha. It's only a few days I posted my first mech here, getting a fantastic and warm welcome. So I feel a bit strange writing this right now. Tim please tell me you were building for several years and (...) (20 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Stormwalker

(...) I've chosen this pic as it's the one I like most too. (...) I like this idea, because I don't really want to change the torso (maybe different or more weapons). (...) Thank you! I apreciate this, especially as it's coming from you. (see reply to Mark Neumann) (...) Hey, I wasn't begging for compassion. I enjoyed this time. Building is what LEGO means to me. I just wanted to give a figure for the time it (...) (20 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Gladius - My First Mech

(...) You're right of course. Why settle for demolishing a mere 50 targets when you can obliterate 100. Or 1,000! Muhahahahahaha! My next mech will eliminate the torso and arms altogether and just be a mass of 1x1 cone bricks on legs (...) Thanks! (...) (20 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Gladius - My First Mech

(...) Wow, thanks! (...) Thanks for all the compliments, I've certainly been admiring your mechs for quite a while now as well. (...) This was actually somewhat tricky just because I really didn't have any examples to base it of off. Hips and (...) (20 years ago, 2-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Gladius - My First Mech

(...) Thanks! (...) I guess I can see what you mean. On the plus side, this Mech receives the SciFi Channel! (...) Yeah, you got me there. Originally this mech was not going to be nearly this big.   Re: New MOC: MH Zephyr

Re: Gladius - My First Mech

(...) snip That's a heck of a debut, Tim. Let me be the first (and only) poster to complain about the inadequacy of Gladius' missile load-out. Who are you trying to impress with a measly pair of 25-tube launchers? I'm kidding of course. Seriously, I (...) (20 years ago, 1-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Stormwalker

(...) snip Welcome (belated) to .mecha. I really like the dual cockpit, with the side cladding and the yellow internal details. I think the pic you chose for your post is the best view of this machine. My suggestion would be to leave the torso (...) (20 years ago, 1-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Hello everybody

  Re: Stormwalker

(...) Well it is quite impossible to build this type of mecha without having some Neumann-esque look in it. If you once have seen one of his chicken leged babies you don't get them out of your mind. (...) Please see my response to Kyles message (...) (20 years ago, 31-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Stormwalker

(...) I thought of a mech for fast attack. That's the reason I kept the body rather small. I wouldn't call a 6" rotary cannon a small weapon. But I'm unsatisfied with the missile turret. I don't think it really fits the rest. Maybe I should rebuilt (...) (20 years ago, 31-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Stormwalker

  Re: Stormwalker

THis mech looks very sweet. It appears to have some Neumann-esque inspiration in it as well, with the big worm gear legs. I must agree with Kyle though, the torso is slightly small, but if you moved the rotary cannon on the right arm onto the (...) (20 years ago, 30-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Stormwalker
