  Re: my first post :)

(...) Hey Eric! (...) I can see the foundrydx influence. I think that was a good place to start. I never really got into those creations other than "eye candy" because minifigs did not seem to be able to use them. I am a big fan of getting those (...)   Re: Elite Shocktrooper

(...) Thanks, Mark,The "War of the Worlds" TV series that was broadcast in the early 90s' that was loosely based on the classic film was my inspiration for using that element as an eye. I've used it throughout the past 5 or 6 conceptual phases of (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship

Stop talking about my thrusters, Kyle, I'm sensitive about that ;) Although there have been only a handlful of mecha-style dropships this is clearly one of the best. As I mentioned on my MOCpages review, I like the salad-bar approach you took to the (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  "Aggressor", power armor dropship

This summer I built a team of power-armor mercenaries, and I wanted to build them a ship to get to the battlefield with, and here it (finally) is: (3 URLs) Click any pick for the Brickshelf gallery, or click (URL) here> for the Mocpage. I looked at (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

  Re: Elite Shocktrooper

(...) I really like the organic look to it. Sorry, nothing constructive here! Great job. E. (20 years ago, 18-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: my first post :)

(...) I've changed the axe since (the blades now taper in). As for the upper thighs, it's something I've applied to my newer mechs, but I'm leaving this one be for sentimental purposes! (...) Yup... this one will definitely get an overhaul :) (...) (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: my first post :)

(...) Thanks... I've actually never seen the FSS anime, but again, on Foundrydx.com he built one, "Temple", that was influenced by that show. And my mech was inspired by his. I thought it would be cool to do a single color mech. (...) This is where (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: my first post :)

(...) Thanks for checking them out Scott. I hope to get my new stuff on here soon :) (20 years ago, 17-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: beginnings of a mech

(...) I'll get a pic up pretty soon, but there are two knobs you can just see, they have the flat 2x2 tiles on them, there is a worm gear contacting the exterior gearing of the table in vertially in the back of the hip. that is what controls the (...)   Re: beginnings of a mech

(...) thanks for that. I messed with the feet and thought wow, that actually looks ok. (...) I fein sickness. No, actually I don't work at all and sort of "space-out" and think of Lego. Strangely I get more work done those days... :) Mark (20 years ago, 17-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: beginnings of a mech

(...) Hehe, temped to make a joke here but thinking that might not be taken the right way. (...) Yep, only two on the ankle, but it gives all the mobility I need. (...) That place where the bricks meet in the middle of the thigh? No that isn't (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Elite Shocktrooper

(...) I got the feeling of an alien lifeform looking at this mech. The insectiod trans piece conveys that particuarily well. The Bionicle parts convey the organic yet mechanicle aspects of this creation nicely. Tall, stringy looking and over (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: my first post :)

Weclome to a dot mecha, where Lego mechs can stomp free. (...) This is my fav of the bunch. Great porportions, good balance, the big old ax is a nice touch. My only point I see is to do something with the sides of the upper thigh, to reduce (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: my first post :)

(...) Wait..we got another Mecha builder named Eric now? Eric, very cool. I like them, great color schemes, and for the size, it's nicely done! No constructive criticism here, haven't build any Mecha (too busy doing a really big building that's due (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: beginnings of a mech

(...) Not another chicken walker. Sheesh, talk about old hat. ;) In all seriousness, that hip joint is a real eye opener. Thanks. You only have the two axes of rotation in the ankles, yes? And is the thigh rotation also worm geared? Cheers, Allister (20 years ago, 16-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: my first post :)

(...) Welcome to build.mecha Eric! (...) Although melee/Five Star Stories-type mecha aren't my thing, this looks like a really well made mecha. It's refined and well proportioned. Well done. (...) I like this one a lot. The head is very small, in (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  my first post :)

Hi all. I've been a lurker for some time now, and I've finally ballzed up enough to want to share what I've worked on. Just some background info, I came across the <foundrydx.com> site in early 04 and it blew me away! I've always wanted to build (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: beginnings of a mech

Just a couple of comments. First, that is a great idea for the toes! I like your style of having two or three toes fanned out claw-style, but I didn't like how it seemed to flatten the feet out, I always thought they'd look better with a little more (...)
