Ah, I’d say. I have a question on a worm gear that is hidden from the camera. Coming off of the turntable on the legs that supplies the rotation in the x-axis how does that worm gear work to allow the leg to rotation around the y-axis? Could you supply a picture of that rotation?

I’ll get a pic up pretty soon, but there are two knobs you can just see, they have the flat 2x2 tiles on them, there is a worm gear contacting the exterior gearing of the table in vertially in the back of the hip. that is what controls the rotation. (reader note: I actually sent Marcus a pic by email, I’ll get the pic into my gallery soon)

Can’t wait to see Anvil crouched over picking up the couch and looking under it.

Maybe he’ll have better luck finding my kid’s hot wheels cars that end up under there...

Thanks

Mark

(...) Mark, thanks for the post since I have been the one that has been asking. I'm not sure if I should smile or cry ... it's so beautiful. I caught my first glimpse of it this morning on Brickshelf! Seeing the inner-workings on a project like this (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
