Yeah, the rules are generous towards me - I never claimed otherwise. I have at
least three things I want to build before then, though, and the next three
months are crazy for me. So it's not the luxuriant time cushion it looks like.
If anything, the longer time favored him, since he's not used to the scale or
subject. It'd be about forty hours of work for me.

Also, I think I made it clear that he was free not to accept, rather than trying
to chisel better terms for himself.

Okay, fine, you're not whining.  But I still think a contest should be a little
more than "Eric, I challenge you to build what I build better than me."  I like
the design, and most of my experience is in the 12 inch range; but I like the
idea of trying a completely new scale for me - kind of like and "Iron Chef" for
mecha.

We've all got things to do in our lives - we can't all just build lego mecha all
day, but a challenge should be just that - a CHALLENGE.  maybe you can do it,
maybe you can't.  But in theory, you should have fun and learn new building
techniques along the way - and most important, have fun!

So, what say you?

Are you up for the challenge?

Eric, man, I don't care what names people call you - defend your building skill.
Win - or lose, whatever.  But don't walk away.  It's not to entertain Soren or
anything like that - it's for the community.  You should throw your hat back in
the ring and say "THIS is how we mecha folk resolve our conflicts - through
competitive building, not name calling."

Let's do this!

Chris
