Back to the Future DeLorean —Bram Lambrecht
I knew there was a reason I brought my LEGO collection home for break besides sorting the miscellaneous parts... This may come as a bit of an anticlimax after the Diablo, but I just finished a Miniland scale (12 wide) rendition of the time machine (...)         Re: Back to the Future DeLorean —Joel Jacobsen
(...) That's just plain cool! The fiberoptics are a nice touch as is the attention to the interior detail. As for the shape, it's not .that. bad. Better than I could do..! Good job! Joel Jacobsen (URL) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Back to the Future DeLorean —Gary E. Blessing
Hey thats great!! I have two questions: 1. How do you build such great models in such sort time periods? I mean it hasn't even been a week since you posted about the Diablo. 2.How did you get al of the fiber optic lines to light at once? Once (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Back to the Future DeLorean —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) This was probably done by using a long exposure time on the digital camera, hence capturing many lit fiber optic lines at once. The model is very nice! I really admire the time Bram Lambrecht can devote to building! I wish I had that much (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

RE: Back to the Future DeLorean —Bram Lambrecht

RE: Back to the Future DeLorean —Bram Lambrecht

RE: Back to the Future DeLorean —Bram Lambrecht
(...) Heh...what the pictures don't convey is how loud and annoying the motor sounds when it's spinning the fiberoptics. BTW, the motor is a gray 4 x 5 x 2.33 stud box with an axle sticking out one of the 4 x 2.33 ends. The electrical contacts are (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Back to the Future DeLorean —Adrian Drake
Great work Bram! I'd love to see this thing in person some time (the Diablo too) I'm hoping we can get together some time in the near future at Troy's place and have another buildathon. Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) Well Troy. What's the scoop. My next free date is SuperBowl weekend. Troy, you got any plans. I assume we'll all be rooting for the Giants. I'd love to host, but I really don't have the room. We need to get those houses sold and into a new (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.cle)

Re: Get together was: Re: Back to the Future DeLorean —Adrian Drake
I'd be fine for Super Bowl weekend too. Saturday or Sunday. While a nominal football fan, the Super Bowl doesn't really interest me this year, so i won't be heartbroken if we're deep into building some monstrous contraption at the time. :) Adrian -- (...)          RE: Get together was: Re: Back to the Future DeLorean —Bram Lambrecht
I'm not interested in football either (I even had to look up the date of the Super Bowl.) That weekend is probably fine for me too. I think I can take the bus to Troy's, but if I take my Diablo and stuff, I may need a ride. Could anyone pass by (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.cle)

Re: Get together was: Re: Back to the Future DeLorean —Adrian Drake
I'll do it. Since I went to Case, I know my way around there quite well. Besides, it'd be an excuse to visit the campus again :) Troy lives in Garfield Heights, by the way.          Re: Get together was: Re: Back to the Future DeLorean —Troy Cefaratti
Superbowl weekend is good for me. I figure Saturday would be best, so we can extend cleanup to Sunday if needed (which it always seems to....). Around 1:00pm good for everyone?      Sounds good to me. 1 pm on Saturday the 27th. I doubt that my current MOC is going to be completed by then, unfortunately.      The 70's sets would be cool. ;) I've got both the UCS sets here on my entertainment center though, so no need to bring those.          Re: Get together was: Re: Back to the Future DeLorean —Gino A. Melone
(...) Agreed. (...) Hmm. Technic might be fun. But I'm not sure what we could do in that vein. Maybe some funky contraption. Better mousetrap sort of thing. I assume directions will be forthcoming. :-) (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.cle)
