How many seconds does it take to accelerate

Well, if you dropped it, about 4 seconds :)  It would probably end up
looking like it did after the train hit it in BTTF 3, though... (If I
remember the movie correctly...haven't seen it in years)

Yes, a train does indeed hit it - a freight train, in fact.  If I recall
correctly, it was pulling two or three boxcars.  Marty just got out in time
too!!  Nice filming, although I do wonder why the DeLorean didn't catch on
the front of the engine somewhere and crumple up or derail the train,
instead of being plowed to bits like that.

I particularly like the ending of BTTF 3, not long after the DeLorean gets
turned into trash.  That steam locomotive turned into a futuristic flying
transport is out of this world!!  :-)

I like your model, although I must agree that it is a bit blocky looking.
Perhaps Technic beams could be better utilized in it's construction?  That
would also allow for some scaling up of the model, if you decide to do a
second version of this model, I look forward to it!!
