  Re: Chain link fence/fence ideas.

(...) I did some playing around but was never able to get anything that was quite 'right'. Granted I never tried the string-nets, though. (...) We used those for the "netting" you often see around construction yards for NELUG's Quarry project: (URL) (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Chain link fence/fence ideas.

(...) That looks nice. Though those connector bricks are kinda expensive on Brickbay. I mean Bricklink. :) Not as expensive as 8x8 grids, though. I wonder if a part (preferably a plate or tile) exists that "reverses" the stud and hole, and allows (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Chain link fence/fence ideas.

(...) That is how I do it. But, I don't make them that high. (...) Remove the 1x1x5 column and use a combination of 1x1x1 bricks and 1x1 plates & it would work. Jonathan (21 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Chain link fence/fence ideas.

(...) I feel certain that I've seen someone use the 8x8 plates with grills: (URL) I thought it might be in Keith Goldman's Iron Reich models, but don't see anything. Wait a minute ... ... opens ldraw ... ... 20 minutes later ... How about using (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Chain link fence/fence ideas.

Both of those are good ideas. I was kind of hoping of making something that a tank/truck could "bust through". The net would be better for that, but the grill looks a bit better. I also thought of using a bunch of these: (URL) I don't know how you'd (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.build)

(...) I have seen the 8x8 plate w/ grille ((URL) used as a chain link fence. HTH Adr. (21 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.build)

(...) I've never tried this myself, but I would try using this net piece: (URL) that a shot! -Bryan (21 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.build)

  Chain link fence/fence ideas.

Hey all, Does anyone have any ideas as to how one would build a chain link fence? the obvious solution to me is just a bunch of 1x1 bricks, stacked, with 1x8 plates running between them, but this looks a bit blocky. Does anyone know of any good (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.build)

"Tommy Armstrong" <hptdesigns@charter.net> wrote in message news:IGnrx9.2018@lugnet.com... (...) Nice chessboard tommy. I still have the one you made last year. I've actually been thinking about making some chess pieces for it. Do you have any (...) (21 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.build)

Re: Frisco 1630 and other Info

  Chess Board with 12 woods

Well I finally created enough "bricks" to make me a chess board and here it is. (URL) squares are 1x4's three high.I think it has 12 different woods on it. Tommy ARmstrong tfa@brickengraver.com (21 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.build) !

  The BrickFest Team

Many of the Display Coordinators and other members of the BrickFest team have already started posting here and in various groups and other websites about this years event.   Tune up your 8652 Enzo

Like quite a few others I thought it was too bad the 8652 Enzo didn't have more functionality, so I did a little modification myself. (URL) Well, to be honest, it's not as much a modification than a plan for one. The pictures only show the (...) (21 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  MOC - Cribbage game board

I found a new use for Technic plates, axles and bushings, along with a few other bricks and plates. Behold, the Cribbage Board MOC! Due to the length-to-thickness ratio, it tends to be rather flexible. However, after a few designs, re-designs, and (...) (21 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

Re: Minifig Scale HUMMER H2 SUT

I like the fact that you kept it simple. It would be easy to aquire parts and build 4-5 of them quickly for a town scene. (21 years ago, 15-May-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Spheres Galore

(...) Sorry, a typo. I was too busy building! I was thinking of building something with moonbase ports fitted on the side (my 'podule' idea of 16-stud square units, with swappable caps and 16-stud corridors), so 14 studs seemed about right.
