Both of those are good ideas. I was kind of hoping of making something that a tank/truck could "bust through". The net would be better for that, but the grill looks a bit better.
I also thought of using a bunch of these:

Though I don't know how you'd mount them to posts so the tread part faces out...
that is, 90 degrees from laying as a tread. I'll play with it. I'm also trying
to use something you could .. heh .. animate.

| (...) I used the grill for the overpass on my station - not a fence, but looks quite good. (URL) And it would be very easy to smash through from the inside, but that may not be what you want. ROSCO (20 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.build)
