This is Where I Build

My building area is made from:

I used to share the computer room in our small apartment with the office
stuff, but after stepping on my LEGO one too many times, my partner decided
that we would both be happier if I took over the dining room.  So now I have
the dining room table (we never ate there anyway), and a second small table
we bought at a rummage sale for parts and miscelaneous bits.  Instruction
booklets and boxes are in a file drawer and in the office closet respectively.

The total area of my building area is:

I haven't measured the table, but it's wide enough to fit 4 32-stud plates
and long enough for everything I've wanted to build so far.

Total number of bricks at arms length:

All of my bricks are at arm's length (~23,000).

The total number of bricks at your disposal without getting up
from your comfy chair.

I don't have a comfy chair, because I like to build standing up (don't know
why, but it feels more interactive that way).

Neatest thing about my building area:

The cats like to test out my projects.  I'll find them sleeping next to them
in the morning.  It's also in the middle of everything but still separate. I
can walk by and play for a couple of minutes on the way out the door in the
morning, but the table is mine (and the cats') to play on.

Worst thing about my building area:

Convincing the cats that I really don't want them to knock parts off onto
the floor. The lighting is also pretty bad - the dining room chandelier just
doesn't cut it.

Extra Notes:

Being in a small apartment means I don't have any room to display MOCs.  I
also want to build a table with a lip on it to frustrate the cats.  It will
be nice to have my own room to do with what I will, but that's some time off.

Have fun!

(...) No problem. I'm glad to see that a few people replied. I was hoping people would just have fun with it. Looks like they did. :) Now that this has been out there for a few days, what do people think? Is this a roll call that we can throw out (...) (22 years ago, 24-Nov-02, to lugnet.build)

I did some searches and couldn't really find anything of this type having been previously done on LUGNET, so here goes: We've all seen the existing roll call forms. There are those for generic LEGO fans, for space fans, castle etc. Here's one with a (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)
