I did some searches and couldn't really find anything of this type having
been previously done on LUGNET, so here goes:
We've all seen the existing roll call forms. There are those for generic
LEGO fans, for space fans, castle etc. Here's one with a bit of a twist.
Rather than being about you, it's about where you do your building. In
other words, I'm curious to see people present some tidbits about the spaces
they have created in which to build with LEGO bricks. I've geared this
little survey more toward your building area rather than your storage
methods, as I think the latter has been covered more often in other threads.
If possible, I think it would be neat to get a glimpse of where some of the
amazing LEGO creations originate.
What sparked my interest? A recent redesign/rebuilding of my own area. In
fact, until just last week I didn't really have an area unless you count the
dining room table as a temporary one. But as I became more and more
frustrated with having to drag out bricks, build something and then pack all
my bricks away, I decided it was time for a semi-permanent solution.
So if anyone wants to join in this bit of frivolity, I guess you can just
reply with your own answers to the 'roll call'. As I'm about to do myself. :)
This is Where I Build
My building area is made from:
Construction details, materials list, run down of the furniture
you've commandeered to build on.
The total area of my building area is:
Square footage, square centimeters, X studs by X studs (whatever
way you like to measure it)
Total number of bricks at arms length:
The total number of bricks at your disposal without getting up
from your comfy chair.
Neatest thing about my building area:
Cup holder, chin rest, sore finger massager... anything that makes
it fun.
Worst thing about my building area:
Clumps of cat hair, clumps of dog hair, clumps of MY hair! Little
things that annoy you about your area.

| This is Where I Build My building area is made from: A table which I built to fit a specific area in a room. (Approx 30" by 24") It turned out to be easier to just build the table to fit the space, rather than hunt about for a new or used table. The (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build)

| I build in my room, I keep all my lego on a small shelf unit with 2 shelves & store it in Fischer Plastic Products storage. I also use a few other things like a Plano 3-tray tackle box to store a few things and also I have a large container to store (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build)
