So why didn't they change the length of the links, instead of making that small rack with ball joints? They could have reused the smaller links (...) (26 years ago, 27-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)

(...) I just got the Model Team Ferrari, too, and it is very nice. I can understand that you want to keep in on the shelf. Did you apply the decals, by the way? Oh, and if you have the 5571 on the shelf as well, why not make a flatbed trailer for it (...) (26 years ago, 26-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: 18 wheeler truck

Yes it is very heavy, especially when you properly configure it with 10 wheels. Has anyone tried to make a complete 18 wheeler based on the 5571? I've got enough tires, but that would be one big box for the trailer. KL (...) (26 years ago, 26-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)

  Technic 99 US Catalog

While looking for closeout deals at Target (Orlando, FL) this afternoon, I ran across the first Technic 1999 set. It's the Police buggy (8252). I haven't built the set yet but it came with a 1999 Technic catalog and a 1999 Technic S@H insert. There (...) (26 years ago, 24-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Tinkering the 8880 suspension setup

(...) Yes, this is very true. As you say, it will not be too rigid, but it will most probably work. The problem may be that you'll need even longer steering links, as the distance from the pivot points to the ball joints is farther. But the problem (...) (26 years ago, 24-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)
