I haven't tried this, so take this as rant only, but my guess is that
you need to redesign the gear box to motorize the 8880 Supercar. See,
the gear box is intended for a vehicle in which the wheels drive the
motor, not the other way around. But to motorize the car, you need to
make sure that all gears gear the motor output down. At no point should
there be a large gear driving a small one in the gear train.
But as I said, I haven't tried this, and I don't intend to build the
8880 again, so take this as rumour only.
