(...) A good tradeoff might be to give designers credit toward future purchases of their own. That stays "within the system" - no checks to mail, etc. When a designer's model is purchased, that designer's account gets a credit. Very simple, right? (...) (...) When a company does something outside its core competency, something infrequent, this is the kind of outcome to be expected.   Re: Dino Attack: Militarization of LEGO?

Lindsay, I'm trying not to hold the giant proportions against these sets just yet, since the Hind sitting above my computer still comes in at around 50 studs long, but it's quite literally a stretch. (...) That ship's goofy and ugly, frankly. It's outsize and done in awful colors. No sir, I don't like it. That "SUV" thing? No doors?   Dino Attack: Militarization of LEGO?

Greetings, all: I've been lurking in this group for quite some time; if you remember me at all, it'd be for my ancient Hind gunship design back when that Soviet-helicopter craze hit out here. Wow! The best compliment I could give it is that I bet Giger would like it if he saw it. I read somewhere that he used animal bones and meat under the black rubber in the original Alien costume.
